City Lights Sail on Adirondack

Took the city lights sail on the Adirondack close to the end of a weekend trip to NYC. Check-in was easy and there was just a brief intro to the boat and the safety issues. There didn't seem to be any script or tour type of talk, which was great. You could chat with the captain/crew if you wanted, or walk up closer to the front. It was very windy which made things interesting and fun. You could go below deck if you wanted for the bathroom or just to sit. I've been visiting NY for years (this was about the 15th time) and the sail is now a favorite for sure. It's a perfect change of pace from the insanity of the city.

I recently went on the city lights sail while I'll was on vacation. I haven't been to the city in a few years so I did a lot of research online before my trip. I found this sail which had good reviews so I thought I would try it out. My wife had never been to the city before and since it was her birthday I thought this would be a fun way to take in the views. The captain and crew were very professional and nice. What I liked the most about the sail was how relaxing it was after a busy day of sightseeing. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for good memories and experience while in New York.

Great views! Would be nice if they had a tour explaining what you are looking at.. Although the Team members of boat did answer some of our questions which was nice. There was great service. It was pretty cool.... I went toward the end of fall, the sky was clear. I would avoid going on really cool nights, especially if you dont like the cold. Water tend to be at least 10 degrees less than land. You will be more distracted trying to keep warm. although they do pass out blankets, But I dont think they are washed between uses. So bring your own and layer up.. Wine was not good, actually pretty cheap, the red was better than the white. You can bring snacks on the boat. if you can , wait to purchase tickets a few days prior to date. then you can gage the weather for the weekend.

Went on this night time cruise as a gift to my girlfriend's birthday. She thought it was the most beautiful thing shes seen in the city ever. Highly recommend this boat and company; the service was great, the crewmembers very friendly and polite, as well as capable. Couldn't recommend this more to any couple

A group of friends were out celebrating a birthday recently on the Adirondack evening cruise. It was a cold October evening, but the crew happily supplied blankets, and we were well bundled as well, so we were prepared for a nice evening out with friends. Although it started out calmly, once the sails went up, the boat took an alarming tilt to one side that had all of us on that side holding on for dear life. We sped along at this angle for what seemed like an eternity. Eventually it tilted the other way, and we were happy to be on top, but when it came back to our side we basically all ended up sitting on the floor to keep from being pitched into the Hudson. Perhaps it was a particularly windy evening, but this was not how I anticipated this evening. It wasn't raining or bad weather, just cold and crisp, so I was very surprised at the way things turned out. I've never sailed before, so maybe this is typical (?), but most of the pictures on the website show smooth sailing and sitting, chatting and drinking. There is one picture where the boat has the look of a 90 degree angle. That would basically be almost our whole cruise!

My boyfriend and I went to celebrate our 21st birthdays and it was absolutely amazing! Completely different view of the city and the boat crew was so personable!

We had a great time sailing under the beautiful NYC lights, I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a romantic night with their significant other.

For my hubby's birthday, we spent the weekend in NYC for a change of scenary. He loves being on a boat and the look of city lights (were from the burbs), so this seemed like a great idea, especially since there was a 20% off coupon. The crew was very nice and we were offered drinks and blankets (it was a chilly Fall night). The views are beautiful and being that close to the Statue of Liberty was a scene to behold! We loved it! Not very touristy and a relaxing way to see the city. My one suggestion: If you're not sure what you're looking at, just ask the crew. Otherwise, you'll think you're looking at Brooklyn Bridge/Coney Island/New Jersey...and you're not!

Beautiful to sail NY harbor in the evening. Was a nit worried it might be too cold on late Septembwr evening but it was fine plus the crew provides clean warm blankets if you need them. Very pleasant and calm sail giving a new perspective of the city from the water at night. Highly recommended.

Great night. the only down side was they didn't have the special order of wime I had asked for. But didn't hinder an otherwise perfect night
