Crew very efficient with initial instructions and drinks serving but then left us to our own devices - much appreciated after a hectic day. Recommend the twilight cruise as colours of the sunset still around and city lights in full bloom!

Captain (Adrian) and crew (John and Chris) are just great. The only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars was that we didn't have much wind to make the sailing more exciting. Not surprising as this was a warm summer evening and certainly not the crew's fault. A very nice way to spend a couple of hours with my daughter before she heads back to college.

I have taken two sailing trips thus far. July 4th weekend with my husband, three children and 2 grandchildren. After the trip my son described the trip as one of the best family get togethers ever. Grandchildren loved it, my 13 yr grandson wants to take some of his school friends on a trip next year for his birthday. My husband and I recently returned to sail the city lights, it was romantic, peaceful, yet filled with night life. I highly recommend it for those wanting to experience the harbor at night. I look forward to many other trips. Denise

This event makes for a wonderful evening for any type of group. It is a great way for New Yorkers to experience the city from a different perspective, and to show visitors a one-of-a-kind opportunity. We are a mix of young professional NYC locals hosting out-of-town friends and family. The cruise staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, going to great extents to make sure that all guests were accomodated. Not only were they capabale sailors, but also great hosts. The boat was beautiful and well-kept, and had ample, comfortable seating. The trip was down and up the Hudson from midtown to the Statue of Liberty. Definitely worth the cost, and a nice cocktail selection was an added bonus!

I took my husband on this sail to celebrate his birthday. We went with another couple. I love, love , loved this. We had a romantic and casual experience and it was really cheap when you consider what you are getting for the price, free drinks , a breathtaking panoramic view and memories. We will definitely be returning , with our daughters next time. Great for anyone .

it rained but still worth it...

The sail was lovely. Loved the peacefulness of sailing on the water. The captain provided unamplified knowledgeble commentary for those who could hear him. It was a nice choice for those who wanted to sit close and listen. The younger guests sat up on the bow. I sat with a friend in a cushioned seating area near where the captain was at the wheel. We knew that there would be a chance of rain and when it started to rain, the crew handed out rain gear. The gear was long enough but couldn't fully button if sitting. Unfortunately, when the boom passed over our heads, it drained the water it was holding over some of us. It was like a faucet turned on, and although we didn't mind the rain, being soaked but a "damper" on the rest of the trip. Again, loved the sail but would suggest when it rains that the crew provide a warning that those under a swinging boom be extra careful when it stops and drains.

With a group as large as ours (10) people. Seeing the sights can get complicated. Taking the boat ride was a perfect way to socialize, relax and see the sights without any of the hassle. Our captian was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this schooner ride to friends and family . I found it to be fairly priced and quite enjoyable.
