City Lights Sail on Adirondack

We just got back from a very busy Manhattan week and we both agreed that this was the most relaxing and pleasurable thing that we did all week. The city at night is really worth seeing from the water. We would have both done better with warmer outfits, the wind can reach up to 30 knots on the water, but the crew hands out blankets liberally (and the drinks didn't hurt either). There is only one thing that I would do differently, and it has nothing to do with the Adirondack or the crew. I would have made sure that I was proficient with my camera for night pictures of the city. I didn't set everything up for city pictures from a moving boat at night. I only add this because I didn't see it on any other reviews, and didn't get any good pictures. I couldn't recommend this trip enough, it is well worth the price. David Atlanta, GA

We have been on The Adirondack 4 times now ! We always look forward to cruising the Hudson River - with the peace and quiet of the sailboat it's like you've left NYC ! The crew are nice and always make sure you have a drink in hand when you want one. Great fun !

Good service, great boat. The champagne was awful, but that is a small point. I will do it again. Alex

We are frequent visitors to NY, for plays, galleries, shopping, etc. The schooner sail was perhaps the best thing we have ever done in NY. We are fairly accomplished sailors, but there were many newcomers on board as well. Everyone seemed to have a great time. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable. the sail was beautiful and a good counterpoint to the hectic pace on land. We almost certainly will do it again the next time we are in NY.

My friends and I had such a great time on the sail this past weekend. The scenery was beautiful - perfect for lots of photos. The crew members were very attentive and friendly. We even stopped to see a fireworks show! Great time overall.

This City Lights cruise surpassed all of my already-high expectations about the activity! I took my boyfriend on it as a part of a birthday present, as a surprise, and his face was lit up the whole time! (As was my own) We were blessed with perfect weather and a beautiful sky, as well as an unexplained fireworks display during our trip. This is a wonderful couples activity! And especially great for couples who are New York enthusiasts - one of the best ways to see the city!

We had a wonderful time sailing on the Schooner Adirondack. The view, the company, the drinks and the expertise of the sailing staff was great. It is a New York experience that we'll never forget!

My wife and I decided on the Adirondack since a sail sounded much more enjoyble than a typical cruise. It was to celebrate our 9th anniversary, so we wanted something different but special. Was it ever! Extremely courteous crew, lively and knowledgeable captain. Beautiful sail. Fun, interesting and highly recommended. We enjoyed Captain Pete very much.
