GREAT!

The Luxury Yacht Sunset Cruise was nothing short of perfect. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, and my date and I had a great time aboard the ship. The interior of the yacht is very comfortable with an enormous amount of class. It's also impeccably kept. I think the best part was that even though there were only 5 people with reservations, the crew didnt hesitate to set sail, as opposed to canceling or postponing the cruise. I would go again in a heartbeat!

I took your sunset cruise with my parents and we all loved it. The boat was lovely and had so much more character than one of those big tour boats. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed drinking wine while watching the lights and taking pictures. It was very leisurely and pleasant. I would definitely consider renting the yacht if I ever need to host a private party of some sort.

We were originally booked on the City Lights tour, and rebooked to this one due to lack of interest. Note that they will not sail the Manhattan with less than 6 passengers. I was concerned that the city would still be under sunlight, but that was not an issue. Had I known in advance, I would have booked this sail anyway. There were only 6 of us on the boat that evening, and it was really great having space to ourselves. I asked, she said yes, and the rest is history... Captain Robert and the crew made sure we were kept supplied with beverage, though we didn't see the hors d'oeuvres that were listed. We had a great time, and would definitely recommend it! Spectacular!

The sunset cruise aboard the Manhattan was terrific. It was myself, my husband my two and a half year old son, my Mother and my Uncle Arvid and girlfriend Lillian who were visiting from Norway. I have to say the Captain and crew were very nice. Just another note, I am the one who normally gets seasick, not one ounce of seasickness on this boat ride. That really made my day! We are thinking of taking the fall foliage cruise as well. Can't wait!

We were the only 4 with tickets and they took us out and provided a custom evening when they could have cancelled the evening. Outstanding organization!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because I had just read an article in Time Out describing about 17 different boat rides in New York City, I first tried the Circle Line around Manhattan than the Manhattan Around Manhattan Brunch and, finally, the Manhattan Sunset Cruise. The boat itself is what keeps me coming back: because of the smaller size, fewer passengers and lots of glass, one can see almost 360 degrees from almost any point on the boat. There is a quality of peacefulness because there is no loud intrusive commentary but, if you have a question about something, it will be answered. There is, also, a quality of casual elegance. I am looking forward to trying the Fall Foilage Cruise.

Beautiful Boat, Beautiful Manhattan

A little pricey, but worth the pennies- for a romantic, genteel, "wind in your hair " kind of escape from the ordinary. The yacht 'Manhattan' is a very lovely boat. The evening cruise with lights aglow in lower Manhattan is dreamy. The onboard free champagne, wine, beer may be a bonus for some...However, we found the quality of the alcohol to be poor, so this didn't really help the mood.

My girlfriend and I have done this cruise just before going to the Empire State Building where I asked her to be my wife. The cruise was really great. The boat is very nice, the view is extraordinary and it is just long enough. We have seen everything that must be seen during a trip to NYC, manhattan skyline, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty.... Everything was almost perfect ! The only little thing that I had hoped to be better is the staff on the boat. They were just polite, not particulary friendly even if we were not more than 20 people on the boat.... At the beggining I thought they were like that only with me (I don't know why they would but we never know) and as I am a french tourist I thought maybe they had a problem with french people but after a while we started to talk with a guy from New Jersey who was doing the cruise with some friends and he told us that he had the same opinion on the staff that we had. I have to say that one girl was nice, polite and she smiled but there was another one that was almost rude with us. But we are not doing this kind of attractions for the staff so the result is that the cruise was really, really GREAT !!!! It has to be done and in THAT boat !!!!!

Not Enough Bang for the Buck

Fifty bucks a ticket is an awful lot for cheese and crackers with a glass of wine for an hour and a half around the Statue of Liberty. At least come up with more imaginative hors d'ouevres.
