Full Moon Sail on the Schooner Adirondack

Staff was wonderful on board and off. very flexible when we wanted to rebook. the ship and crew were great. all as advertised.

The moonlight cruise is a unique experience. Of course it depends on a clear sky, which we had. There was not as much wind to allow sailing as the captain would have liked but who cares. The crew was great. The beverages kept flowing and they were attentive to our comfort. The view of the Statue of Liberty at night was worth the whole trip. Definitely something to do on a trip to NYC.

A great tour which included views of Lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty at night. The crew was helpful but unobtrusive and made sure I had some good beers to drink during my journey. Since this is not a huge boat, there are not crowds to tend to, so service was personal and attentive. I've been to Manhattan many times and seen most of the sights. This tour is a highlight of all of my visits, ever.

We could have been clinging to a life raft - the conditions, weather, moonlight, cloud cover, the 9-11 memorial lights - all perfect - but the crew and beverage supply, and other pasengers - added to the evenings success.

Everything ran smoothly from first to last. The trip boarded and left on time. The moon was as big and orange as a huge cheddar cheese. The drinks were served; the sails were raised and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this quiet, lovely sail up to Miss Liberty and back. A good time was had by all.

Great skyline views from the Hudson and of the statue of liberty. Staff were very attentive. We had a great evening, and would recommend it is a must for visitors to NY. The wharf also caters for pre cruise dinner and is worth considering.

Great way to spend an evening together for a birthday, anniversary, date. We included it as an interlude between dinner and an evening of partying. Friendly crew and fellow passengers weren't too rowdy so you could be with yourselves or join the crowd.

As a tough old cynical West Side New Yorker I really enjoyed this "tourist" adventure. The price keeps down the number of kiddies and oddies, so one sailed with reasonable people and a friendly crew. I guess if I had a suggestion, it would be to begin the sail a little later as the moon had trouble showing itself out of the low haze that surrounds the city. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close and personal was awesome. Wish we could have hung out there a bit longer. All in all ... a super time. Best wishes.

I have taken several trips on the Schooner Adirondack which have included a solo journey, entertaining out-of-town guests and most recently, the Full Moon Sail with my boyfriend. Each sail has been uniquely memorable, but the Full Moon Sail was a particularly lovely and peaceful experience. The setting and mood really do set the tone, even with our group where there were a few well-behaved bachelorette party members in attendance. Locals shouldn't worry that this is a tourist-trap booze cruise. It's not! It's a refuge from the hustle and bustle without even leaving the island of Manhattan. When you dock, be sure to check out the equally tranquil Chelsea Piers Park.

We had an amazing time. Even on a cloudy night, the views were great and we were able to get some amazing pictures...Will definitely go again.
