Classic Harbor Line of Chelsea Piers operates 2 of the most exceptional resident sail vessels in the New York Harbor: the Schooners Adirondack and Adirondack III. They held the record finishes in the Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race for 14 consecutive seasons (1994 - 2007). Though they are light and lively sailing vessels, they are also quite comfortable, with ample deck space and seating for up to 49. They were built and designed for taking groups of people on spectacular sightseeing adventures by Scarano Boat Building of Albany, NY.
They are operated by Coast Guard certified captains and extremely friendly and talented crew.
Sailing these schooners is an absolute honor and a privilege. They move through the water so efficiently and beautifully, we take great pride in sharing them with you. Known for their amazing hospitality, our crew is all professionally trained and experienced on sailing our vessels well and safely. In addition to the public sails listed on this site, the Schooner Adirondack III is available for Private Charter!
You and up to 48 other guests can have her all to yourselves for a private sailing excursion in the New York Harbor.
She is quite popular for corporate outings, team-builders, birthdays, anniversaries, wedding parties, and family and alumni reunions.
Full catering and bar options are available.
She sails from Chelsea Piers, Pier 62 in Manhattan and can pick up/drop off guests at other locations as well, including Liberty Landing in New Jersey, North Cove Marina in the Financial District, and East 23rd Street's Skyport Marina.
