How about sailing the Hudson in nice weather, enjoying the view of New York and New Jersey without the constant humming of an engine in the background. After you think it can't get any better, the crew starts handing out free beers.
We had a great time. |

Ourselves and our two teenagers enjoyed the afternoon sailing to the Statue of Liberty and it was worth every penny. Along with the awesome views and comfort of the vessel, the crew were very friendly and happy to answer questions. I will take this cruise again the next time I come back to NYC. |

Of all the touristy things I could and did do while in NYC, Sailing on the Adirondack was the best $40.00 I spent in New York. The crew was friendly and knowledgeable and the weather was perfect. I can't recommend them enough.
If you want a break from the heat, take my word for it, its easily 15 degrees cooler on the water. Go for a sail! |

I would do this again. I saw the city from a different perspective. It's quiet on the water, so if you're spending a lot of time in the city and need a break from all of the action, this is a good choice. Very relaxing. The crew was as friendly as advertised. The two hours went by quickly. |

We took the 2 hour sail out past the Statue of Liberty and had a great time. Kate, Val and Mike (our crew) were great and took really good care of us. We had a beautiful, warm day and a nice wind (once we got out of the lee of the buildings) so we got some real sailing in. Other people's boats are just the best way to enjoy the water; and sailing on the Adirondack was no exception.
If you can find the time while you are in NYC, by all means take this trip. We had a great time. |

We had a wonderful time sailing with the captain and crew on our first day in NYC. Good way to take in the skyline and see Ellis Is and the Statue of Liberty from the comfort of a comfortable and uncrowded sailing ship |

I have recommended this tour non-stop since I've returned home. The Captain was wonderful. She gave the standard safety talk before shoving off very lightly but firmly. The crew was awesome. It was so much fun to see NYC from that perspective! |
