Great opportunity in Manhatta, to escape Manhattan

What a great day to escape the hustle of the city and yet be able to view the island from an entirely new angle. The captain and crew were very polite , helpful, and accomodating. The boat is well maintained, very stable and secure. It was a great feeling to hear the engines shut down and to heel-over under quiet sail power. Now, if you could only guarantee 20- 25 knots wind speed. Thanks, I will be back!

I had such a great time on Sunday. This was my first trip on the Adirondack and would tell everyone to go take this trip as soon as possible. The Captain was gracious, informative and charming as was the exuberant staff. It was just the perfect amount of time and my only suggestion would be too remind people to pack sunscreen (we did!). For me it was a perfect day, it made me feel like I was on a real vacation. Thanks again!

novel but intense

Our family really enjoyed this novel way to see the sights of Manhattan. The crew was great. However, this sail was a bit more adventurous than a typical tourist might like. We had high winds and the sails were up fully with the boat tilted all the way to the side for a good part of the trip. Although we had inquired about life jackets, they were not issued (said to be on board), and we were not issued one for our five year old once requested upon realization of how fast/full tilt this trip would. Although my family enjoyed the sail, I, as a mother, was, unfortunately, too concerned for the safety of my children on this sail to truly enjoy myself.

What a great way to see the city. We had a beautiful day - nice wind, blue skies, the crew was wonderful, this was exciting stuff. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy these two hours. Highly recommended.

I am getting married in April and wanted to find a unique way to ask my best friends to be in my bridal party. I found this activity online the night before and thought what better way to ask them than a saling adventure. My friends live in Westchester and CT with kids so they do not have the exposure to all of the fun activities there is to do in the city. After brunch at Elmo's we walked to Chelsea Piers and that is when I let them in on the plan. They were so happy - they had never been sailing before. The crew was fantastic and they served beer at no extra charge. We were chit chatting, drinking some beers, relaxing and taking in all of the beautiful views that the city, brooklyn, staten island and new jersey have to offer.

It was just what we needed to destress. The boat was clean and well maintained. The trip outdid the Circle Line dull and boring boat ride. Coming from Bergen County it was great to not hear about all the sights, I knew of most of my life. The crew was nice and professional. All in all I had as great a time as I could expect. My older daughter lives in New Hampshire and she intends to take the same trip when she is down for a visit. That should be the best recommendation.

I highly recommend this outing. It's a great way to spend part of a day in NYC, whether you're a local or a tourist. Just sit back, relax, enjoy the ride, and forget about all the pressures of your life for a couple hours. As long as you aren't prone to getting seasick, as I can see the boat getting rocky on a windy day.
