Day Sail on Schooners Adirondack

We were told to be at Chelsea Pier at 12:45 for the 1:00 Sailboat Tour. We were called on our cell phone at 12:30 to say the tour had been cancelled because the minimum number of people had not signed up and because of the rain. We were already standing in the rain at Chelsea Pier at this time. Since it had been raining all day and since the low sign up was known the day before... we really would have appreciated the phone call earlier in the day. Thank you for the quick and easy refund of our money. If we are ever in New York again we will try to do this sailboat tour - it does sound like fun. Thank you, Barbara

This was a great event: beautiful views of NY and the statue of liberty, a very friendly, low-key staff, and generous free drinks (beer, h2o, etc.). I would definitely do this again and highly recommend to others.

Highly recommend this activity. Second time I have been on this boat and it was awesome both times.

My wife and I do this every year. It is the perfect date. It's like we own our own yacht with a private captain and crew...plus 30 other really nice people. I am a native new yorker and its a real treat when you are on the water like this. Great views, service and price. Plus it's real easy to book your tickets. We love every minute of this boat ride. What a great day to escape the hustle of the city and yet be able to view the island from an entirely new angle. The captain and crew were very polite , helpful, and accomodating. The boat is well maintained, very stable and secure. It was a great feeling to hear the engines shut down and to heel-over under quiet sail power. Now, if you could only guarantee 20- 25 knots wind speed. Thanks, I will be back!

We had a great time, though it wasn't exactly the tour we expected. The crew was enthusiastic and accommodating, but the tour was more of a boat ride than a NYC tour. We were expecting some history of New York and a description of the landmarks we passed but instead weren't given any descriptions throughout the whole ride. We did see many wonderful things, but a history lesson it was not. The drinks were endless which was nice, and the crew was more than willing to strike up a conversation and answer any questions (about sailing, other tours, and new york) but I didn't learn much otherwise. Overall, a great tour, but not what I expected.

I took an out of town guest and had a wonderful time. it was a great sail, the wind was terrific. I was hoping it would not be a watered down sail boat ride for tourists and was not disappointed.

We had a wonderful time on our saling adventure and would highly recommend it. I took my daughters who are 13 and 17 and they had a great time. Much better than the traditional boat ride we were considering. We had a great time with the other passengers from Google. They made the trip alot of fun. The crew was great and kept the cokes and water coming. My girls had never been to the city so this was a great way to see the city. Great Fun!!!!

I recently took my family on the Adirondack to see NY, specifically to allow my 5 year old twins to see the Statue of Liberty. The crew was so friendly and amazing and the trip itself was so refreshing. I highly recommend it!!
