despite rotten weather... crew was accomadating captian gracious and informative suggestions: would like to have known tipping was expected for crew... maybe it was mentioned in brochure but did not see it...I was unprepared to tip well

great trip, Captain Robert and the crew did a great job, really cool experience; enjoyed watching my friends pilot the boat.

The entire trip was excellent. As we were running a bit late (due to traffic - what else is new) we were contacted which allowed us to tell the coordinators that we would be there shortly. The trip itself was terrific, the weather was perfect, and steering the boat was also a treat. We had great fun and the trip was the highlight of our bachelor party weekend.

Trip was great. Robert was interesting and friendly. A number of us enjoyed the chance to steer. The weather helped. Nice trip around Gorvernor's Island.

My husband and I are experienced sailors and were happily surprised that the schooner Adirondack was essentially new (11 years old and beautifully designed), gorgeous (as a sailing craft and as a thing of beauty in its own right) and wonderful to sail. The captain was experienced and knowledgeable, the crew courteous and hard working (as the sailing is all done by hand, with no winches or mechanical aids) and the afternoon on the Hudson River truly glorious. We left Pier 50 and headed for the Statue of Liberty, tacking upwind on the outbound leg and reaching back to the pier, and every moment of the two-hour sail was pure joy. This is a jewel of a schooner and one of the most relaxing, unusual and thoroughly delightful activities that one can find in or around Manhattan. The views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and lower Manhattan are the best! Everyone should sail the Adirondack -- whether a visitor or a native New Yorker.

Great wind! We travelled far past our Statue of Liberty far-point on Sunday! Lots of fun as always! Great, friendly and professional staff! Can't wait to go back!

First of all, I bought the tickets for my girlfriend and her parents, so I obviously needed everything to go right! In fact, I had totally screwed up by purchasing tickets for the week after we were supposed to go, not paying attention to the dates that were in the box on the ticket sales webpage. The business was able to change my tickets hassle free on the day of the cruise (though since the schooner wasn't sailing that day, I was switched to the Manhattan yacht -- which was great as well!). As we were sailing the rivers, I felt sorry for the people on the other ships that we passed by -- and I felt lucky I did not reserve with them! Our ship was very small by comparison, which was a huge advantage. But our cruise only had about 15 people on the 45 max. capacity ship, so we may have been luckier than most. The 1 1/2 hour cruise was the perfect amount of time and we were blessed with great weather. I don't know how much extra we paid to be on a "better" ship, but it was worth it for the type of occasion I was on.
