Day Sail on Schooners Adirondack

I am getting married in April and wanted to find a unique way to ask my best friends to be in my bridal party. I found this activity online the night before and thought what better way to ask them than a saling adventure. My friends live in Westchester and CT with kids so they do not have the exposure to all of the fun activities there is to do in the city. After brunch at Elmo's we walked to Chelsea Piers and that is when I let them in on the plan. They were so happy - they had never been sailing before. The crew was fantastic and they served beer at no extra charge. We were chit chatting, drinking some beers, relaxing and taking in all of the beautiful views that the city, brooklyn, staten island and new jersey have to offer.

Thrilling relaxing enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We are looking forward to sailing again when the weather is cooler.

The lovely sails on the Adirondack are so refreshing after a hard day's work. When you want to just relax and detach, go with the friendly staff and crew of the Adirondack. The best bargain in town!

My husband, daughter, and I recently went on the Schooner Imagine. The crew was extremely pleasant and fun to be with. I recommend this trip as a great way to see the Statue of Liberty. We had a great time. Thanks. We will do this again!!

A decent fun time for all. We did it as a work group and it was pleasant. Views were neat.

Took a daytime trip around the harbor and it was beautiful. Nice crew, quiet ride, amazing view! In addition to that, it was the first time either of us had seen the Statue of Liberty up close. It was great!

We had a wonderful sail, and the crew couldn't have been more helpful, answering all our questions. It's not a "guided tour"; If you expect that, this isn't the cruise for you. If you want to be on the water on a sailboat with a crew that will tell you anything you want to know, this is it! My only regret is that I believed the weather forecast (rainy) and I didn't bring hats. Of course, it was sunny and warm the whole time! None the less, we had a great time, but when we do it again, we'll be better prepared.

This was the third (or maybe fourth?) time my husband and I have sailed on the Adirondack over the past two years. We brought my sister and our 6-year-old nephew along this time - they were visiting from Albany - and everyone had a great time. The boat is beautiful, the crew is fantastic and the scenery can't be beat (we even got to sail around Governors Island!) It really is one of the most fun and memorable NYC outings I've ever experienced, and I've lived here for more than 20 years. I would - and do - highly recommend this excursion to everyone I know! The Adirondack Schooner was beautiful, the captain and crew were cheerful and expert, the route they took was beautiful and fun...what more could we ask for? A wonderful experience, top to bottom!

We had an amazing time on this trip. The views were increidble, the service was very friendly and comfortable, and the overall trip was one of our favorite activites that we experienced on our trip to NY. I would highly recommend this experience for both locals and tourists!
