Day Sail on Schooners Adirondack

We took a group of about 20 on the boat this past weekend to celebrate a birthday. We had a range of ages from 5 years to 90 years old and everyone had a fantastic time! The group was all locals -- from NYC and from NJ and everyone was blown away by the different perspective of the view! The crew was a lot of fun and very accommodating! I would recommend this trip to anyone!

My second trip on the vessel, perfect day, great people, wonderful beer and to top it off a proposal of marriage next to my group of 6!! I reccomend this to all locals and visitors. 2 out of my 6 were from England, they are still carrying on about it. I wish there had been a group discount as I treated all 6.

We decided to take this saling trip as a family outing. My children are in their 30's and in their minds they have seen everything! This trip truly raised the bar as far as a family outing. The boat was beautiful, the staff was highly trained but a lot of fun and the weather and NY harbor and Statue of Liberty was inspriational! An amazing memorable day! I enjoyed the trip very much-the crew was very helpful and friendly--I would suggest that the trip might be more enjoyable if there were some comments by the Captain or crew on a loudspeaker system about the history of some of the ferry terminals/ older -historic buildngs etc--Having spent a substantial part of my work career in lower Manhattan this was not a problem for me personally but iI think it might add to the overall experience- Very enjoyable-but the parking costs are a bit pricey

Would have enjoyed a little more aggressive sailing, but it was very fun, and the staff was super nice. Overall, a most excellent experience.

We arrived to checkin 1/2 hour before our scheduled depart time of 3:30pm and were given our tickets. We then waited and got in line, approx 5 people in front of us to embark. Unfortunately, when it came our time, we were told we had tickets for the wrong boat and time. We then had to go to ticket counter to get the proper tickets. However, we then were the last to embark and ended up in an area of the boat near the captain. We were hoping for the front of the boat. Needless to say we were disappointed. The sail itself was enjoyable and the staff were very polite.

The sail was great! We found the crew enthusiastic and very helpful. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I recommend it and it is a great value!
