Day Sail on Schooners Adirondack

We had an incredible afternoon sail on the Adirondack III. The crew were friendly and very attentive . We were celebrating our engagement and were asking my brother to stand up for me at our wedding. It couldn't have been a better setting or atmosphere. We will always remember this special time in our lives. Thank you!

Great way to see New York City from the water side. Just awesome to relax on a real sail boat. This is REAL sailing! Great for adults and kids alike (guaranteed a good night's sleep after a day on the water!). Will absolutely go again.

I took my mom on this sail for her 60th - that was October of 2000, with the World Trade Center still standing and all. It was gorgeous. Now my cousins are here from Amsterdam, late May 2006. It happened to be very hot and I suggested we go sailing. Well, it was awesome. Got a break from the heat and got to sail around the Hudson and Statue of Liberty harbor. Now my one cousin, she's quite cynical and I didn't think she would react to postivley to how cool it is to pull right up to Lady Liberty but I tell you, she almost cried. It's quite a big impact. This is an excellent thing to do with out of town guests or some friends. Really cool. Forget Circle Line, that's for tourists, this is so much better...

My wifes favorite activity on our visit, I really enjoyed seeing lower Manhattan from the river, lot more enjoyable for both of us instead of figting crowds.

Even with cloudy skies the sail was magnificent. My friend had not sailed prior to this experience and was delighted with the whole process. It was fun, the crew is enjoyable and knowledgeable for history of the area, and the beverages were nice as well. Thanks.

This was our 2nd time on the Schooner Adirondack, and this time it was a group of 8 celebrating my husband's birthday. We all had a wonderful time, friends still thanking me for including them in on the festivities. The crew was great. Will do this again!

We were so happy we chose to sail out to see the Statue of Liberty...and you also got to see great views of the NY skyline....approximately 20 people were on the boat and the small group was so much nicer than a large crowd! The captain and crew were very nice. We brought our lunch on board and thte crew served softdrinks, water and beer several times. It was a relaxing way to see the Statue of Liberty since we didn't want to take the time to get off and actually walk around! I will do it again just to get out on the water!

I found this activity by doing a search on the Internet. It was much nicer than I could have ever expected. The ship was very nice and comfortable. The crew was outstanding in their hospitality and friendliness. There were mothers and their children on board for the sail, and the captain was very attentive to their safety, while at the same time making it special for the kids. Of course, it didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day in NYC. :) My wife and I have a wonderful time. We'd love to do it again with our out of town guests, or maybe even try the sunset sail.
