Day Sail on Schooners Adirondack

The boat, the crew, the service, the sailing...all were great. We had a cold, windy day but the crew made the best of it and really sailed the boat. It was great fun. Can't wait to get back out there!

Spent a fantastic afternoon on the Adirondack. Bright sunshine, stiff wind. Exhilarating trip round Statue of Liberty, and more gentle, conversational return. All the crew welcoming and knowledgeable. Saw all the obvious sites and some less so, such as the Frying Pan and bar/restaurant at the end of Pier 66. Recommend wholeheartedly.

We really enjoyed our trip around Manhattan. We got really close to the Statue of Liberty and the NYC skyline was incredible. The crew was very personable and informative about the history of New York. Also, I left my camera on the boat and I called about an hour later to ask if they found it. One of the staff members found the camera and actually brought it to us at a restaurant several blocks away. We were so impressed with the thoughtfulness!

The SailNYC experience is first rate from the front desk staff to the courteous crew and knowledgeable and well-keeled captain (Captain Kat- my wife and daughtersgirls couldn't stop talking about you all the way home!). We appreciated the call to alert us about the impending departure as we hastily found parking and once we were on the schooner, we knew we were in for a unique experience. The Adirondack is an excellent vessel, seaworthy and handcrafted with care and precision. The views of New York City and Jersey City made for wonderful photo-ops and I was thrilled as my family members steered the ship (under the captain's nurturing guidance). My wife was so taken by the experience , she was seriously considering to come back for the sunset tour for that same day! The weather was ideal and the friendly crew was ready to serve drinks and dispense information in a gracious manner. Overall, a delightful way to spent time in the city and build lasting memories.

Definately a highlight of our trip to NYC. The weather was gorgeous! The staff was very cordial. Definately a must!

The sail was a very relaxing time for my wife and me. The wind (or lack thereof) wasn't exactly cooperating for a pure sailing experience, but we didn't mind. The crew was very friendly and answered any questions we could throw at them. All in all a great experience. Highly recommended!

This ride was fantastic despite the fact we could only "sail" for 20 minutes. There was NO WIND!!! The crew kept busy trying to find some wind gusts and serving drinks to all. You can't beat the view, and the price is right. We had a lot of fun and will try it again.

Overall this trip is what we expected. Everyone in our family enjoy it the entire time. I've recommended my friends and co-workers to do this with their love ones.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and it was a great way to enjoy the beauty of NYC without the traffic. The boat was clean and comfortable and the weather was fantastic. We could tell that people on the larger tour boats were envious of our romantic sail boat drifting across the river. I would definitely recommend this to domestic and international travelers.
