small boat, no-noise boat, great crew

The schooner takes you up the Hudson to Liberty Island where you cruise around for a while. I recommend the Day Sail for 3 reasons: - small boat - few people to quarrel for space with: there were 11 guest and 3 crew members and everyone had plenty space to walk and sit and take all the pics they liked - quiet boat - you feel sorry for the poor people on the noisy and crowded ferries and tourist boats while you enjoy a beer on deck. awesome! - great crew - though this is not a sightseeing tour (i.e. no one will point you at buildings or show off their knowledge of history) the crew is ready to give answer any questions about the boat or the city (if they know them) I bet this is even excting for New Yorkers - pack a picknick basket, grab your girl and get on a boat!

With a crew of 3, 9 guests and one of the best sailing days so far this year (according to the skipper), my (adult) daughter and I could not have had a better trip. Thank you so much.

I'm a sailor and own a small 22 ft sailboat so this sail was extremely appreciated. Weather was very good and the wind was up so in addition to the incredible sights of New York City we had a fantastic sail. The boat is a delight to be sailed. I also appreciated very much the opportunity to join the crew in hoisting the sails. Excellent and polite service by the crew.

Captain Andrew and his crew were fantastic, such an excellent trip, inexpensive, exhilarating and a fantastic experience. The crew were knowlegeable and very friendly, we both felt totally safe and at ease on the yacht.

The two-hour afternoon sail on the Adirondack III was without doubt one of the highlights of of our trip to New York. The views are spectacular and the staff are exceptionally friendly and good humoured. Highly recommended (as is the Brooklyn Pale Ale that was on offer the day I went).

Nice weather, nice sunshine, nice breeze and very nice crew and captain. And a nice crowd on the boat. For me, the best way to have NY in front of you without the hustle and bustle. Just gliding across the water, enjoying a drink and the sea breeze. Forget the tour boats to the Statue, forget Staten Island Ferry. If you want to see it all in style, this is the one for you.

Taking a sail in a traditional Schooner up the shore of Manhattan is a beautiful experience that is so worth it. A very unique experience and a must-do when you're visiting NYC!
