I like the boat, the food, the beverage, the Architects, the Narration, the tour, everything was excellent. I recommend this tour to all my friend. But I have a question. What is your schedule for this year and for the next month. I want to take this trip again?

A lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon and learn more about the city, with commentary by AIA members and great views of buildings on both sides of the rivers--and a glass of wine and some cheese and fruit for nibbling.

Nice cruise for my birthday

Although it was a cold day the cabin was warm and the cruise was very nice. The guide was very informative and the food was great. The leaves had not really turned that much but I'd still recommend this cruise, it's a pleasant way to see the shores of NY and NJ.

Wonderful!!

We had never taken a NY cruise before and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though we did not see much fall foiliage and it was quite cold, we found it delightful. The scenery was beautiful and it was very interesting to hear the captain's chit chat. It was very nice that the chit chat was not pre-recorded. The food was nonstop and quite delicious. It probably would be an inprovement to have 2 waffle irons since that was a big hit. We were certainly glad to be warm and cozy in the glass enclosed cabin rather than the sailboats we saw go by.

The day before our Fall foliage trip the New York area had a snow storm on Oct.30th. The captain and crew removed the snow and ice that accumulated on the boat and off we went up the Hudson to view the Fall Foliage. I guess viewing the snow on the cliffs was another plus to seeing the folliage. The captain was informative and the crew most accommodating to all the guest. Thanks for the memories.

Brunch cruise fiasco
Sat, Oct 29, 11   10:30 AM pattyharold Female 60-69 Combination Family Without Children
The food was excellent; and the crew was very knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. However, due to the rain, snow and heavy seas, we were not taken on the lower Manhattan leg of the cruise nor were we allowed to proceed to the Tappan Zee bridge. When we departed from the pier, the seas were so rough that the boat was battered about and we were told to hold on to something when getting up to access the buffet. When we returned to port the gangway was extremely icy making for very hazardous walking conditions. The main purpose of the cruise was to be able to see the colors of the foliage; but this was made impossible by the fact that all the windows on the boat were completely fogged up due the heavy rain and snow. Some of the people in my party were from Florida where the leaves never turn color and were quite upset that they could not take in the fall colors of New York especially on the upper leg of the cruise. Given these extreme conditions, I feel that we should have been offered a refund or at the very least an opportunity to reschedule.

Fall Foliage meets Old Man Winter!
Sat, Oct 29, 11   10:30 AM tsteen Male 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
My girlfriend and I had never done any fall foliage-related activities before, and settled on the idea of taking a Fall Foliage Brunch Cruise because it sounded like it would be perfect for us. A good amount of time, a good value for the money, hopefully some good food and drink, hopefully some good vistas, and not too far from home (we are local to New York City). Well, we got most of what we expected, and a few things we didn't expect. The food was indeed good. The beverages were a little more limited than we would have liked (for example, the bartender didn't have the ingredients to make a Bellini), but nice. We felt like we left New York on an adventure, but were home by the middle afternoon. The weather did not cooperate - it rained and was foggy and then we got snow!!! which meant there was pretty much zero visibility the whole time. We did get a glimpse of the Palisades for a couple minutes, and it looked like the trees had not turned yet. Oh well. It was a small blemish on an otherwise incredibly enjoyable excursion! The boat was beautiful - a well-constructed copy of a 1920's yacht. And the crew was great - from pilot to first mate to second mate to chef and bartender. All were friendly and helpful. I talked to a member of a large family group that was visiting New York from all over the U.S. and they loved it. We loved it too, and would certainly recommend it to others!

My husband and I took the cruise with another couple and all of us enjoyed the trip immensely. This is despite the fact that the colors hadn't changed and we sailed through a snow storm. The crew was fun, the food was great, the boat was beautiful and the water is amazing. Go, you will enjoy yourselves. Everyone on our ride seemed to have a great time. There were people who took the trip by themselves and people who went with groups and everyone seemed to be very glad they came. It's a neat experience. Try it!!!

REFUND POLICY
Sat, Oct 29, 11   10:30 AM Quizzman Male 50-59 Local Family Without Children
We scheduled brunch cruise for departure on Oct 29 2011. We awoke that morning with great anticipation only to look out the window to face blizzard type conditions, heavy snow wind and freezing rain. When we called to find out cancellation policy we were told that the cruise sailed regardless of weather.NO REFUNDS. Well I think the inflexibility of there policy to be totally unprofessional or customer friendly. We had hoped that at least portion of the nearly $200 we spent would be refunded or at least a rescheduling date..... Plus we found out that the river was totally engulfed by fog visibility down to less than 100 ft. We feel totally ripped off and will never use this company again. We will reschedule our cruise with someone else

I wanted to do something nice for my boyfriend to extend my appreciation. From the moment we arrived he was looking forward to it, simply because of the workers, they were very pleasant and attentive to everyone on the boat; it was freezing out so the fact that they had hot chocolate, water and wine made things very romantic. The sight was beautiful, I felt like I was in a post card; like those NYC post card photos that capture the pose of the statue of liberty and NYC at night. The highlight of the night for the both of us was the fire works at the end. It was the anniversary of the statue of liberty so there were fire works, it concluded our evening. I recommend this for anyone who is looking forward to a mellow, relaxed but yet exciting night.
