Classic Harbor Line

This was a fantastic trip and the highlight of my stay in NYC. You board the Schooner at sunset and sail away from the hustle and bustle of the city on the peaceful waters. Watching the city transform from day to night is something I'll never forget. Easily worth the $60 fee, would be still good value for double that price!

Very nice trip, well run, with free drinks and blankets as needed. Early in the morning we saw wind predictions of 20 to 30 mph and then bought the tickets, which made for an exciting ride in the afternoon, although the schooner was only able to put up half its sails because the wind was so strong. (The captain is not allowed to "keel" maximally because some passengers may have bought tickets for relaxation rather than drama.) Highly recommended for a two-hour getaway.

My 9 year old and I had a great time, the crew was very helpful, answering questions and making us comfortable. The sails were lovely and the Schooner sailed over the water at a smooth relaxing pace. I loved every minute of it, my first sailing trip and look forward to an opportunity to sail again. Great experience and recommend it to anyone.

I went on this cruise with my husband and another couple. We had so much fun! The views were amazing and the crew members where so nice! We went on the sunset cruise- the city lights from the water was my favorite part of our entire trip!

Our captain, Kate, was super knowledgeable of sailing and the waters. As a sailor myself, I had many questions about the sea floor, the ship and the winds that navigate the Hudson. It was a fantastic sail...we were cranking at 9.9 against the current! Of course, the captains can't order wind, we were just lucky. On board, with the exception of the crew, there were only nine of us, which I was hoping for. Captain Kate said they can pack 49 people on board, so if you want a great sail, go when it's raining, and go late in the season, like we did. It was perfect. The crew was great too and I helped raise the sail. A fine evening all around. (They had great beer on board too! No need to drink a bud!)

This is a wonderful way to see the city. Viewed from the water, you see so much and the perspective is fabulous. John, the architect prof, who narrated the tour gave a wonderful presentation full of facts and stories that make the city and the buildings, bridges and neighborhoods so exciting. I highly recommend this tour. BTW, the captain and crew do a spectacular job, too! This was one of the highlights of our week in the city.

Boat, crew and food very nice - commentary by architect really first rate - gave a huge amount of interesting information on what we were passing all round the island. A wonderful overview.

This is a great tour. You get a complete view of NYC from the water, which provides an excellent perspective that you cannot get another way. The boat is extremely comfortable, and they supply free wine and snacks. But, best of all, the tour was narrated by a local NYC architect. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all the buildings and infrastructure that you view. He is able to answer any questions and provide all sorts of interesting info. We loved this tour, and would consider it to be one of the highlights of our NYC visit.

We loved this trip. It was a perfect getaway that provided a unique lense to experience NYC. And with wine and cheese!!! Loved it.

Great fun trip!

Only wish it was longer. It was a beautiful ship. The crew was very nice and friendly. No wind. Would definitely go again. We were celebrating our anniversary.
