| weather was mixed and a bit colder than expected but crew was great and provided blankets for guests, drinks were plentiful and kept coming, new york harbor is always wonderful, even without a very colorful sunset, the lights of manhattan are magnificent - a number of kids (ages 7-10?) got to drive the boat - the captain was really great with them and everybody on board had a great time | ||||||

| Nothing like spending a special day such as Father's Day with your special someone. The Yacht was really lovely. The teak and mahogany trims give it such a elegant feel. The decor is stylish, the crew absolutely wonderful. Would be nice if you were given the option to purchase fresh fruit and snacks, although the trip is just 11/2hrs long. Picnic baskets can be brought onboard for those romantics that plan ahead. There is a bar on the yacht - initial drinks are comped. Beautiful music plays in the background. I went on the sunset cruise and made dinner arrangements at a favorite restaurant afterwards. This is great for couples or a group of friends that want to spend some quality time before or after dinner. I will definitely do it again. | ||||||

| very nice ride with a great feel for being away from the city if only off the coastline. red wine could and should have been better. There are more than enough low price options at the business end with good taste. Don't skimp where you don't have too. buy domestic and you'll make your money. | ||||||

| While quiet casual, best way to see Manhattan from water - crew is friendly - wine would have been appreciated vs. beer | ||||||

| This was my fourth trip on the Adirondack; three in NYC and one in Newport. The crew is delightful and accomodating. They explain the highlights of NYC and also about the boat. And they work hard. I recommend this activity to everyone. | ||||||

| It's family and group oriented. However, there should be more lively activities...more music and fun activities. It would be nice if a member of the crew can point out some historic or important sites in NYC. There should be a wider selection of food. | ||||||

Request for Refund

| i am requesting a partial (half) refund of the cost of the cruise. Our cruise was cut short by about an hour because of bad weather. On June 14, it had been raining and thundering since 4:00 p.m. When I called to see if the cruise was still going to be held at 7:00, the receptionist didn't return my call. When we arrived, there was still considerable confusion as to whether the cruiise would go out or not. As more people assembled, the captain decided to go out. We were out about 45 minutes when the sky began to rain. The rain increased until it was a downpour. Then lightening started. All the passengers were drenched to the skin. We returned to port, and no mention was made of a refund, even though our clothes were completely wet. I am requesting a refund of 50% since we missed 50% of the cruise. My tickets were charged to American Express, and I have contacted them regarding this problem as my bill indicates that your company has charged me the full amount for 3 tickets. I decline to pay for something that I did not receive. | ||||||

Disappointed on how it was handled

| We had a big rainstorm with thunder and lightening before we left and the sky was still black in some areas. Even though it was not raining at the time you could see the storm coming back at us. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for a bachelorette party that was stuck in traffic. As soon as we left the dock it was thundering and lightening. We were out maybe 1/2 hour before before we docked to come back in. And at this time it decided to downpour for the last 10 minutes before we made it back in. We were not issued a refund or discounted tickets for another time. It was a really bad decision on the captains part to go out in the storm to begin with. We should have been able to rescheduled or have the tickets refunded to us before we even went out. I'm sure the cruise would have been great, but we weren't able to enjoy or see any of it and that is why we were very disappointed. Feel free to send us 2 more tickets!! | ||||||

Great alternative to standard rehearsal dinner

| Rather than have a sit-down rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding, we decided to take the wedding party and out-of-town family (25 total guests) on the Manhattan brunch cruise (Saturday, June 14). It was the first time most members of the two familes met each other, and it was a great way to visit and see the sights while having brunch. The out-of-towners were thrilled, but the native New Yorkers were equally delighted. What was particularly nice about the brunch was that the food arrived in stages: continental breakfast foods with a waffle station and fresh fruit and cheese first, followed by eggs & sausage, and finally sliced ham and tossed salad. I'm sure there was more, but I was too busy mingling with the guests. The food was well prepared and nicely presented. The brunch cruise was simply a hit with everyone. The only negatives were that the air conditioning couldn't adequately cool the glass enclosed cabin on the sunny day. Perhaps retractable shades could be installed on the overhead glass for these occasions. Also, as the organizer, I would have arranged to cover additional drinks for my guests if I knew that the beer, wine, etc. was limited to the first drink. That wasn't particularly clear in the description on the website. It was fairly easy to get to Chelsea Pier by taxi, but don't rely on the taxi stands in front of the pier to catch a return cab. Very few cabs came through there, and the ones that did were occupied. After about 20 minutes, we walked a couple of blocks to 10th Avenue where taxis were abundant. I know at least 25 people who would give this event a thumbs up! | ||||||

Definitely recommend, even for Manhattanites!

| The boat was small enough to feel intimate but large enough that you didn't notice the other passengers, the crew was friendly, the champagne was flowing, and the views were beautiful. What more could you ask for? I never really thought about doing this before since I live in Manhattan, but I'm really glad I went! | ||||||

| This was an awesome experience and totally worth the money. I took my parents who were visiting NY, including my mother who had never been to NY before, and it was their favorite thing we did all weekend. It was so relaxing and the views are amazing. It's the best way to see the Statue of Liberty. I've lived here for a while and I enjoyed it just as much as they did. The staff was really friendly and great about making sure our drinks never went dry. I highly recommend it to both tourists and New Yorkers! | ||||||
