Classic Harbor Line

It was a great experience. We were a group of 10 friends and we had a great time. The crew was outstanding, the sail was beautiful and fun and drinks (which they had quite a good selection) were flowing like water. I think as long as you are not drunk, the crew is more than happy to ensure that you have a fun time. All in all, a fun experience before you can head out to party in the city.

Whether you're a tourist or want to be atourist in your own city, Chelsea Piers is certainly a great place to start. Hopping on a sail boat and heading down to Liberty Island at sunset is the most spectacular way to see NYC. Bring a small picnic, beer, wine, and champaigne is provided. The crew is happy to converse or leave you alone - whatever you choose. They are very knowledgeable about the city and make great tour guides, pointing out various buildings and landmarks if you ask, even providing some information. Truly a great way to spend 2 hours with that special someone or a great group of friends, or even just to see downtown from a different angle!

Excellent crew. Beautiful views. Great way to go sailing on the Hudson for a reasonable price. Great activity when you have out of town company visiting. Mine loved it.

We went in celebration of a friend's birthday and had a wonderful time! I would recommend the trip to anyone.

I went on the 3:30 Day Sail the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Great day to be out on the water, not too hot, not too cold. Breath taking views. I'm from NY but never take full advantage of the activities. I'm so happy I went. They served us 3 rounds of complimentary beverages, which was perfect for the 2 hour boat ride. I can't wait to go again!

I thought the sailboat was a visually relaxing ride that allowed us to enjoy the NY cityscape and all its brilliance. Everyone gets to chat with their company, drink, and eat, if you brought your own food. The wind and sound of the river waves brushing against the sides of the boat was all enough reason to go. Thank You.

We liked the trip route but the seating was very poor and being limited to just the seating area was not enjoyable at all. Especially when the captain even asked that no one stands! The trip was a little short...another 1/2- 1 hour more would be better!

We had a "girls night out" to celebrate a friend's birthday and the boat ride was perfect. Good views, good drink, very peacefull, friendly staff - just a nice and different NYC night. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful way to spend a hot summer night! I took my roommate out for her birthday on the sail and she absolutely loved it! I have been on many of the sails that Classic Harbor line offers with my boyfriend and I wanted to share one with my best friend! Can't wait to go on another sail soon!

Fun

For my boyfriend's 30th we went out on the Schooner. It was nice. The crew was very friendly and it was a good experience.

Very enjoyable cruise. The captain & 2 mates/bartenders were very nice and seemed to really enjoy what they do. Nice, quiet groups of people on board, looking for a relaxing sail not a "party boat" experience. Not enough wind the afternoon of our cruise but the sails were still raised even tho we were motoring, so it felt like sailing. Lovely views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, did not get to the Intrepid due to calm conditions. Wouldn't mind a cushion to sit on up on the bow area (only provided for the stern/ cockpit seating area.)

I'd highly recommend this for anyone who loves sailing and/or being on the water. Spectacular sights and a great way to spend a couple of hours!!

I bought tickets for 13 British wedding guests for the day after my daughter's wedding. The cruise left on time, the crew was pleasant and accommodative and we arrived back on time. Everyone was pleased with the experience. My only confusion with the process revolved around the tipping. Since ours was a group of 12 or more, I was told I would be charged an 18% tip when picking up the tickets. I was not, but we all left a tip at the end of the cruise. Now I am waiting to see if they call or my credit card is charged for the "required" tip after the fact. I would hope they drop this confusing policy.

Beautiful views, nice drinks, and good conversation, both with our group and with the crew. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
