Classic Harbor Line

I'm from out of town and I treated my daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law, who live in NYC, to a schooner sail. It was a hot day in the city, but the breeze and ambience on the open water was wonderful and refreshing. The crew was great. One member of our party was not too excited about going -- until he got out there. Now he wants to go again to share with other people. Well done!

My husband and I were in New York, celebrating his birthday. I took him on the SunSet Cruise and it was everything he wanted. A beautiful sailing ship, a fabulous view and experience, no children screaming and acting up, and lovely crew. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It wasn't cold on the water, either.

The boat, crew, and locale were all excellent. A great value as well.

We had never sailed on a schooner before and were amazed at the efficiency of the crew, their friendly nature and the amazing speed the ship reached once we got out of the dock area. We had a relatively cloudy day with winds out of the east, which made for one of the best sailing days of the year, according to the captain. We really enjoyed the ride and would recommend it to everyone.

Beautiful to sail NY harbor in the evening. Was a nit worried it might be too cold on late Septembwr evening but it was fine plus the crew provides clean warm blankets if you need them. Very pleasant and calm sail giving a new perspective of the city from the water at night. Highly recommended.

i thought the tour was pricey until i experienced it. top of the line well done!

had a great time on the father's day Brunch June 19th. A full boat with 41 pax did not seem crowded at all. A young and enthusiastic crew did an excellent job serving drinks and food, while the captain did an excellent job with the guided tour. Food was good, casual and plentiful. Lucky with the weather and all in all, a VERY relaxing cruise. We were very satisfied with the quality and size of the boat and the option for either inside air-con, or outside fresh air. We were a party of 6 and all thoroughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend.

I had a great time with a group of friends on this trip. I would definitely recommend to others. Great staff.

Our family from Canada went this May 2010 and booked your sail boat. First off the boat was very well maintained and the crew were very friendly and more than looked after our needs and stressed the safety aspect. The boat sailed to the Statue of Liberty and along the NYC skyline that was beautiful to say the least. They served drinks , had blankets if you were cool and looked after our beck and call. The Captain ( Lady) even let you steer the boat if you liked, which a few people did getting their pictures taken. We had heard that New Yorkers are very friendly people and that is so right!!!. We are going to NYC next year and will be taking the harbor tour again. It's definitely worth the cost, our family would highly recommend it if your thinking of going to New York.

Julian and his crew Stu and Val were outstanding. Very professional yet cordial. We would highly recommend the Imagine. In fact, one of our family members has already booked the same harbor tour for a corporate group of 14.

Our family found this to be a beautiful night out on the harbour. Seems to be a well-run operation with professional and courteous staff, and a first-rate sailing vessel. Two footnotes: We went in late September, and it was cold out on the water - but that is not the fault of the company. Just have to dress warmly. We went with a 2 year old mellow baby. It worked out fine, but if you have an highly energetic child, you will have to keep a close eye on him/her., and there isn't much space to run around in.

Everything was great, despite the fact that we set sail in the middle of a horrible wind and rainstorm. We still had fun. My only negative comment was the captain's strange attempt at humor denigrating women for clogging up the toilet with hygiene products. It was mildly offensive and certainly not funny. Other than that we all enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

TWO SUGGESTIONS: I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN MORE OUT OF THE EXPERIENCE HAD THE GUIDES FOLLOWED MORE CLOSELY THE NUMBERED SITES ON THE BROCHURE WITH A MENTION THAT "WE'RE NOW LOOKING AT NUMBER 8." THE GUIDES ARE VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE BUILDINGS. WE, HOWEVER, ARE NOT. I OFTEN DIDN'T KNOW WHICH BUILDING THEY WERE POINTING AT OR REFERRING TO. ALSO, A LITTLE BACKGROUND REGARDING THE PARTICULAR CHALLENGES AND BENEFITS OF BUILDING ON MANHATTAN (BEDROCK, ETC.) WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY USEFUL. ENTHUSIASTIC AND EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE GUIDES, LOVELY SHIP, GREAT EXPERIENCE.

The crew was fantastic! They conversed with everyone, the skipper told some pretty good jokes & made everyone feel welcome.
