| We ended our mini-vacation to New York by taking the City Lights Schooner tour. It was a little rainy when we started out but the crew handed out raincoats that were great and let every one know that the weather should clear up as we left the docks. It did clear up and it was a beautiful evening. The lights of the city were fantastic and the Statue of Liberty was gorgeous. The Captain and crew were very attentive. Our family would highly recommend this to everyone going to the city, | ||||||

| Our family found this to be a beautiful night out on the harbour. Seems to be a well-run operation with professional and courteous staff, and a first-rate sailing vessel. Two footnotes: We went in late September, and it was cold out on the water - but that is not the fault of the company. Just have to dress warmly. We went with a 2 year old mellow baby. It worked out fine, but if you have an highly energetic child, you will have to keep a close eye on him/her., and there isn't much space to run around in. | ||||||

| Took my visiting parents on this instead of going to a play like we usually do. Great time - it was smooth sail and the captains kept the wine glasses full. Highlight was sailing right up to the Statue of Liberty. Would definitely go again. | ||||||

| The sail was better than expected. Wow is all I can say! Even though Mother Nature did not cooperate with us as far as the sunset was concerned we still had an unbelievable time. The staff was very informative and helpful. They even assisted me with a special request by presenting my date with a card while sailing, which was more than appreciated. I asked my now girlfriend (Yes!) to go steady while sailing and needless to say she said YES!!! This is a memory I hope we will share forever and I will be sure to return on every anniversary! | ||||||

| The captain and crew of two took good care of us while dealing with the schooner in a skilled manner. The weather many not of been the best, but that was okay, and I think all had a good time. I know I had a fantastic time and would love to sail again on the Adirondack. Have been telling my friends about the whole experience in a positive way. Thanks again! | ||||||

| Although there were quite a few couples on board, my family had an excellent time. I live in the city and my family is here from the west coast and we all had a blast. I would recommend this trip to anyone. My Dad was concerned about getting sea sickness and was totally fine. I would go again if friends came into the city. It was just beautiful. | ||||||

| My friends and I had an amazing time on the City Lights cruise. The sailboat was impressive and allowed for a very relaxing, serene cruise. The views of the city and Statue of Liberty were spectacular. The staff was very attentive and helped to make our experience memorable. | We were originally booked on the City Lights tour, and rebooked to this one due to lack of interest. Note that they will not sail the Manhattan with less than 6 passengers. I was concerned that the city would still be under sunlight, but that was not an issue. Had I known in advance, I would have booked this sail anyway. There were only 6 of us on the boat that evening, and it was really great having space to ourselves. I asked, she said yes, and the rest is history... Captain Robert and the crew made sure we were kept supplied with beverage, though we didn't see the hors d'oeuvres that were listed. We had a great time, and would definitely recommend it! | We live in NJ. I purchased 2 tickets the day before the sail (Wednesday). On Thursday we took the train in and headed to Chelsea Piers. I then got a call from the Adirondack captain that they needed 6 passengers to cover their costs, and only 4 had signed up, therefore they were cancelling the sail. They did give me a prompt refund, and I understand that they need to cover their costs. HOWEVER, we still had the inconvenience of buying train tickets and changing our whole day around so that we could sail. It was a beautiful perfect sailing day and we were very disappointed. I do think that if the Adirondack is going to offer "non-refundable" tickets (with 24 hour notice) then it should work both ways! I should have been given 24 hour notice that they would not sail. Or, they should have sailed and taken the $100 loss as a cost of doing business. It was really not fair of them to cancel on us after we'd bought what we thought were non-refundable tickets and travelled into the city. SO - go ahead and buy tickets - I'm sure it's a great sail - but be aware that you could still be cancelled at the last minute unless they've already met their minimum. | ||||||

| This is one of those great things to do in NYC - it's so relaxing you almost feel like you've been on a holiday when you get back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, i've been on it twice now and will definately be back - book now you'll love it! | ||||||

| The sunset cruise aboard the Manhattan was terrific. It was myself, my husband my two and a half year old son, my Mother and my Uncle Arvid and girlfriend Lillian who were visiting from Norway. I have to say the Captain and crew were very nice. Just another note, I am the one who normally gets seasick, not one ounce of seasickness on this boat ride. That really made my day! We are thinking of taking the fall foliage cruise as well. Can't wait! | ||||||

| Caught between 2 storm systems on an absolutely georgeous New York evening on the Hudson. The crew was attentive and informative! The wind was right and sailing was a thrill! The skyline and Statue were spectacular as one would expect. We've done this several times before and recommend it to everyone who makes the trip to NYC. It was a New York adventure our family will always remember!! Hats off to the crew of the Adirondack (sunday evening Sept 24th, 2006)!! | ||||||

| A beautiful ship with actual sailing (as opposed to motoring with the sails up). Friendly crew and great views on Manhattan and Jersey. The sunset over Manhattan was spectacular and seeing all the lights come on only made it more impressive. | ||||||
