| This serene sail enabled us to see lower Manhattan from a totally different perspective. The crew was pleasant and accommodating. Lady Liberty was majestic at night. This is one activity that spans the generations. Our kids loved it and gave it to us for an anniversary present. | ||||||

| The Manhattan Yacht is the way to go around the island, seeing the entire shoreline of Manhattan but also the surrounding areas, and enjoying a pleasant time on the water. Nice service, food and drink, plus informative narration. | ||||||

| Our captain was a real enthusiastic and knowledgeable man. He was informative and so open to allowing passengers to "take the wheel" and he was really good with kids. He should have 5 of his own. I am recommending it to everyone I know who might go to NYC. | ||||||

| We sailed on Saturday in the rain and had a very enjoyable time. The captain was engaging, funny, and very knowledgable. He gave us clear and concise instructions about safety and the weather conditions. He was knowledgable about the trip, sights, and boating in general. We felt very comfortable with the crew and their skill level. It takes a very special captain and crew to make a sail on a rainy day fun, but they did it. I highly recommend this adventure! | ||||||

| Good time with good friends. Sail boat was enjoyable and crew was very experienced both with the sails and making sure the "grog" was plentiful and well timed. Would recommend as the sunset behind the Statue of Liberty was breath taking as was the sun's reflection on the NYC sky scrapers. Will do it again! | ||||||

| We thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to sail the Hudson- with incredible views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, Elizabeth 2 , river traffic and Manhatten Island. The excursion was refreshing, comfortable and it offered yet another fascinating perspective on NYC.. | ||||||

| We had received gift certificate (which, by the way, is a great gift for anyone in or coming to NYC) and the day we chose happened to be beautiful. The crew is very good and I can't imagine anyone having a bad time sailing on the Hudson.. | ||||||

| My wife and i had a fabulous outing! Weather looked suspect for the evening, yet turned perfect. Unknown to us until embarkation, we were two of only 5 people (out of a complement of 49 available slots) ;who signed up for this 8:30 -10:30PM Saturday night cruise; notwithstanding, the Adirondack (with its marvelous crew of 3) honored our reservations and treated us to our own personal tour. The sights were awesome, right up through our rendezvous with the Statue of Liberty ... so imposing, so breathtaking. The crew were friendly, knowledgeable of the surroundings, and thoroughly entertaining and easy to be with for 2 hours out on the Hudson. We even caught 30-40 minute of fireworks from the Brooklyn piers, which just added to our spectacular evening. We hated to return to the docks; but it was a total "High," and we would recommend this very affordable evening cruise to anyone. The cruise runs several times/ day; but I do believe the evening is a highlight withe all of the dazzling lights of the city and the NJ shore just there to "make your day" unique and complete. But do dress warmly, season-related. | ||||||

| My husband & I hosted my daughter's 18th birthday with 10 of her friends on a brunch cruise around Manhattan. It was a lovely setting, excellent food, friendly and knowledgeable staff - and you cannot beat the view!! We had sun and rain on the cruise - but that did not affect anything. The small size of the boat is conducive to socializing with others or just being with your group. Both generations of our party had a great time and I have been recommending this cruise to all my friends. I would like to return sometime - with just my husband for a special occasion! | ||||||

A Most Pleasant Way to Spend an Afternoon

| I have sailed on the Adirondack and the Imagine several times. Each occasion was a great event. The captain(s) and the crew(s) appear to be very competent and work very hard to ensure that all passengers enjoy the sail. (This past Sunday our captain was Julian, and our party of four felt very confident in his ability to afford us a safe, happy sailing experience.) I feel that if more people knew about the sailing vessels from the Chelsea Piers, more passengers would be sailing. I initially found out about the ships from my own personal searching on the Internet for sailboats from Manhattan. I have never seen an advertisement describing the sails; more publicity would be valuable. | ||||||
