Classic Harbor Line

This was a fantastic trip. Pure relaxation as we progressed towards the Statue of Liberty under sail power sipping some great beer. A great way to see the iconic Statue and the Manhattan skyline. Much better than the motorised options which make you one of the herd. Although you are with other tourists this feels like a jaunt on a private boat.

We sailed on the hottest day on record in NYC...107F, being on the water for two hours was a cool respite. We especially enjoyed and appreciated crew member Patrick and his insight and observations. One note: this is not a "guided tour"...there are no sightseeing descriptors other than questions being asked by the group.

We were 22 people. The captain's narration was wonderful. The crew was very accomadating. The food was plemtiful and exxcellent. Unfortunately we were in the middle of a rcord breaking heat wave, but everything else was perfect.

Fantastic tour. Attended on July 22nd, 2011 with group of family and friends, the ride is worth every dollar. Boat is wonderful (enclosed air conditioned cabin worked well considering night time temp was around 90 deg F+, ), Crew outstanding as well, very accomodating. Tour pauses very close to Statue of liberty (to take some great pics), Will do again...

More appetizers , more tables !! But nice !! A night cruise is better though !!

The cruise was a perfect ending to a fabulous first time in New York. It allowed us to see the entire area from a different view and enjoy both the city lights and gorgeous sunset.

I was visiting NYC with my boyfriend for a week and he had booked this cruise based on the reviews he read on trip advisor. Due to the EXTREMELY hot weather in New York at the time, I was a little against going on any outdoor activity. However, once I boarded the cruise boat, it was a beautiful experience I'll never forget. The crew members were extremely polite and friendly, coming around to serve drinks and beverages. The captain had a great sense of humour, explaining the history behind all the sights we passed by, with a mix of his own humour. The sunset was gorgeous and the sights absolutely stunning. My boyfriend and I had an amazing time together and I would definitely take this journey again on my next visit to NYC. It is for all age groups and is air conditioned inside for extremely hot days like the one I had. Just a wonderful experience altogether :)!

My friend and I planned this 'cruise' since I am retiring and leaving New York for good; wanted to see Manhattan one last time from the River. We chose this cruise, slightly more expensive than the Cicle Line cruise, specifically because we wanted to enjoy the beauty of the river and its sights, without noisy 'tourists'. The yacht was very comfortable, well air-conditioned and the crew and staff polite. We arrived early and chose two seats in the corner 'in front' of the yacht. A noisy group of about 12 came in later, literally squeezed us out of our places, in an ill-mannered way. They sat on either side of us, touching us because they were trying to accommodate members of their group. One of the group was celebrating her birthday. From the outset they were loud and inconsiderate. I thought they would quiten down once the cruise started but it was like they had a private room to themselves and did not care about the rest of us. They completely overshadowed the commentary by the volume of their exchanges. They were socializing, uncaring about the sights around and the beautiful views as the sun started setting. The only time they took notice was when we were close to the Statue of Liberty and they had photographs taken. We complained to the lady in charge of the bar and she spoke to this group but they paid no attention. We asked her a second time to tell them that they were drowning out the commentary, she said she would speak to them but I don't know if she did. I suppose it required the Captain or someone with more authority, but no one was able to control them even though their noise was affecting our experience on the cruise. My friend and I could not converse normally, we had to talk loudly, and listen carefully, bending our heads so that our ears were close to the speaker's mouth. This resulted in us sometimes not being able to focus on the sights outside. This group should have just celebrated in a bar; they did not appreciate being on a cruise and really ruined the evening for most of us. It was really sad that what we thought would be a beautiful evening, circling the island, and listening once again to the History of this amazing city, was upended by these ill-mannered folk. After forcing us out of our seats they loudly exclaimed how New Yorkers were not the rude people they were made out to be but 'so nice'. This group certainly behaved like the New Yorkers I have occasionally come across in my ten years of living in the City: loud, discourteous and thoughtless.

On the original date that our cruise was scheduled, they emailed and called at 5:30pm for a 6:45 scheduled departure, that the cruise would be cancelled due to mechanical issues. We rescheduled and could not make it to our rescheduled date, however they would not let us reschedule again or get a refund or gift certificate or anything. So apparently it is acceptable for them to cancel within the hour of when you're due to arrive, but you cannot cancel or reschedule with them.

A very enjoyable and relaxing trip with great views and lovely staff. Well worth it.

We had a great time aboard the Adriondack III. The boat and the service were both very good and the 2 hours passed very quickly chatting to fellow passengers and admiring the New York skyline. A successful gift for my partner.

A group of us decided to tour NYC by way of boat. We had at least 1 person in the group who had never been to NYC before and described the experience as a great "crash course" on New York. The staff was extremely pleasant and informative.We were thankful that the boat had and inside air conditioned section as well as an outdoor section, particularly because it was 100 degrees the day we visited. We would absolutely recommend this tour group to friends. It's a great way to see the city in a short amount of time.

The entire experience was excellent, I will be back for more with my boyfriend, friends, and family. A beautiful way to view the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. Even on the hottest of days, the breeze from the sails and varitey of beverages was a real treat and break from the opressive heat of the city. Would recommend this to any local or tourist.

The sailing activity was really nice, with a very nice staff.

In spite of the very hot day we had a wonderful sail on the Hudson River, the crew could not have been better. I will recommend to all my friends. Two young men from Florida just loved it
