| Great skyline views from the Hudson and of the statue of liberty. Staff were very attentive. We had a great evening, and would recommend it is a must for visitors to NY. The wharf also caters for pre cruise dinner and is worth considering. | ||||||

| Beautiful boat. Staff was helpful and friendly, but I wish there had been a little more information about the places that we went by. I'm not looking for a Circle Line tour - that's what makes this extra special (because it's not) - but a little more commentary would be helpful. Also, we were scheduled for a 4:30 trip which was canceled 45 minutes before the appointed time due to "motor trouble." It was all fixed for the 6:30 sail. I suspect there weren't enough customers lined up for the 4:30. | ||||||

| We were very happy that the weather was sunny and comfortable. We found the crew helpful, friendly and courteous. We also thought the food was very good and ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Personally, I was disappointed that the Falls were not on, but you didn't have anything to do with that. :-) Anyway, I would have been happy with a few more words about the things we were able to see while in the Northern section of Manhattan. However, overall we all liked the trip and would not only recommend it to others, we'd go again. Thanks for a great afternoon! Annette May | ||||||

| I've now taken this trip twice, and found it a thoroughly enjoyable experience both times. I've been impressed with the comfort and quality the Manhattan provides -- the vessel is nicely appointed, and very well-kept, the crew is friendly and helpful, and the food and drink is plentiful and very good. Even with a pretty full complement of passengers -- there were 46 aboard for our latest excursion -- the boat is uncrowded and comfortable. Take it from a native New Yorker: This is the way to see Manhattan from the water. | ||||||

| While we enjoyed the sail, we were disappointed that we did not get out in time to see the sunset. By the time we were under way, the sun had sunk behind NJ. My suggestion would be to move the departure time up to match up with the actual sunset. The sail was fun, and there was plenty of wine for all and our topside was full. It would have been nice if the captain had some kind of speaker/communication device as she had to shout to give directions and only those closest to her could actually hear her. It would be nice if there was some narration as to the various points of interest. There were plenty of blankets if you wanted one. | ||||||

| I took my daughter on this sail for her 29th birthday. The boat was not new but beautifully maintained. The awesome friendliness and professionalism of the captain and crew make this company's sails exceptional--the service experience is equally fine on its glass-topped yacht The Manhattan. Lots of international tourists (you could tell not only by accented English and conversation in other languages but by the rush to take pictures with the Statue of Liberty in the background) but not only couples, so a mother/adult daughter didn't feel like we'd tripped into a couples-only event, and passengers were of a wide range of ages. The captain's joy in her work was infectious, the weather was perfect. Not least, the complimentary, excellent wine and premium beer, as well as champagne which I didn't taste, were freely served, unlike sails I've been on for the same price where only a half glass of champagne is given and anything else must be purchased--I think our server came around 4-5 times and poured generously. Best of all is the absence of a touristy herd activity feeling: locals have figured out this is a great way to relax on the water without actually owning a schooner. This sail earns six stars on your five-star system! | ||||||

| In all our visits to Manhattan since we bought a place there five years ago, we've never taken to the water. This was a delightful break, an hour and a half of seeing the sights from new perspectives. The captain and crew were friendly and competent, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty were moving, and the waterfalls along the river (a big, temporary art installation, for those who don't follow these things) were amazing. Full disclosure: I tend to like being on the water no matter what. The day was breezy (though the East River portion wasn't), with blowing rain much of the time and a moderate chop out in the harbor. Despite this, we spent most of our time on the MV Manhattan outside, in back of the helmsman's position, chatting about this and that when the captain wasn't narrating the journey or concentrating on surrounding boats. The cabin area behind was warm and cozy, and the boat takes the waves well, so no one seemed to be bothered by the slight motion. | ||||||
