The views alone are worth the cost of the sail but the friendly and attentive crew make it fantastic.

I reserved 2 tickets on the sunset cruise to surprise my wife on her birthday. We had a really great time. The crew were terrific hosts and all of the passengers on board were pleasant and enjoyable. All weekend my wife couldn't stop telling me what a great birthday present the cruise was. We absolutely will do it again in the not too distant future and would recommend it to anybody to celebrate any occasion or just to have a quick get away.

Ride was non stop action.Whether it was passing Statute of liberty, Pier 17, Bklyn bridge or the various waterfalls. Especially enjoyable was the ability to sit comfortably inside watching the sights thru the glass windows or going out on deck to feel the cool breeze and the feel of the waves.

I wanted to plan a romantic evening for my Fiance while in NYC. I looked at several other boat tours and this was by far the most unique. The staff was very friendly and the boat very comfortable. We sat at the front of the boat where there was only room for two. From the boat you could see the Empire State and Chrysler buildings, a great view of lower Manhattan, as well as the NYC waterfalls and Brooklyn Bridge in the distance. We got up close and personal with Ellis Island and of course the Statue of Liberty. The trip was very leisurely as the engines were shut down and the sails raised. After setting off the staff served complimentary beverages several times and provided rain gear when it sprinkled for a few minutes. What a perfect night! Only caveat, if you are looking for a tour with interesting facts or stories about the city, this is not for you. The captain does not act as a tour guide.

the "guide" was terrible - you see the waterfalls, but don't get very close = the champagne was poor quality - just take a water taxi or walk over the brooklyn bridge for a cheaper and better waterfall experience

this was a really awesome experience. the staff was exceptional and the captain was very funny. we found this ride to be more fun and enjoyable than the cruize rides. will ride with them again.

Prompt, well run tour and boat. Deckhands were excellent and helpful. Two hours well spent and views of the city not possible from anywhere but the water.

My girlfriend and I had a great time. It was very romantic. The crew was excellent and very attentive to our needs. We are native New Yorkers and don't always take the time to enjoy what our great city has to offer. This was one of our finer moments.

drinks were great. Staff was phenomenal. Kids next to us didn't bother anyone as they were thoroughly entertained, all the groups around us had fun AND we got to see the Liberty House Restaurant where my wife and I got married on our 1 year anniversary. Home run. Thank you

Great trip, crew and captain were entertaining and extremely capable, service on board was superb. One of our friends is an accomplished sailor of many years experience and he was impressed by the boat and crew performance. Did I mention the spectacular views we were able to see?

We made the sunset sail on the schooner Adirondack under absolutely ideal conditions. The weather was beautiful, the wind was adequate, and the water had enough chop to it to give a feeling of sailing at sea. Under these conditions, the crew was able to use the vessel's full complement of sails, which is not always the case. Once we made our way away from the mooring area, we were, as the captain described it, "really sailing," and not reliant on mechanical power at all. Under these conditions, the experience was just unforgettable. The ship moving easily and silently through the water, covering distance fairly rapidly and maneuvering among the other craft in the Hudson River and New York Bay was everything I could have hoped for from this experience. The crew seemed to be quite competent, and did their nautical work quite well. They also served complementary glasses of wine to all those who were interested and interacted easily with the guests. There were comfortable places to sit, and the surrounding panoramic views of the skylines of New York City and New Jersey in the rapidly changing light of sunset were quite beautiful. In short, under ideal conditions of wind and weather, the sunset sail on the Adirondack was absolutely unsurpassed. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
