Classic Harbor Line

We had the most delightful sail aboard the Adirondack. Perfect weather and wind. The captain and crew were very friendly, and everyone had a great time. Don't miss this opportunity to tour NY Harbor from this unique perspective.

I have taken this cruise before & I sent my daughter & her boyfriend on it as a gift fot her birthday - I was under the impression that beer, wine & soda were included in what I paid, but they were asked to pay $5.00 per drink. I was not at all happy to learn this. The ad said one thing, the reality was something else. I was not expecting a booze cruise, but I did expect to receive a fewglasses of wine included in the price.

The whole process of the sail was wonderful, including the ability to park at Chelsea Piers. The crew was very knowledgable and helpful when boarding and disembarking, and very cordial when serving refreshments. A great time was had by all, and it is especially wonderful to see the city from close up, yet far enough away to take photos. Would do this sail again.

The cruise was pleasant and it was nice to be on the river away from the crowds. The staff were very helpful when booking the trip from overseas, and were very prompt returning emails. The cruise was very costly, and although we had a nice time, I feel it was overpriced for what it was. We had teenage children and there was no allowance made for a reduced ticket price for children, who obviously don't consume alcohol. Staff on board the schooner were friendly, and the vessel was clean and in good condition.

As a loyal customer of the Adirondack I have to honestly say the fourth of July "sail" was a big disappointment. The biggest problem here is there is not a SAIL involved. We boarded the boat, went out into the river and SAT for an hour and twenty min. till the fireworks started. Terrible. Talk about about boring. The actually fireworks display was fine but requires constant readjusting of ones seat/standing area as the boat Jockeys for position amid the other boats. After the event is over you are once again SITTING in the water waiting to go back to dock. They did put the sails up for about five min but we basically went nowhere. They should either advertise this differently...you ARENT sailing anywhere or actually go for a sail first and then come back and park the boat. The entire time we kept asking ourselves why did we spend 600 dollars for this, when we could have sat on the shoreline and watched for free. Do yourself a favor and skip this event and just take one of their daily sails....where you really sail.

This was my third sail with Classic Harbor Line (I was lucky to get introduced to it as a gift) and each time the experience has been wonderful. The crew is consistently friendly and the captain has taken us on great loops each time. Even though I live in New York, the view from just outside it is so worth the trip. It's the best quick escape from the summer heat of the city. These sails are fantastic both with a big group of friends or just as a couple. I'll definitely be going again--hopefully soon!

I highly recommend the Day Sail. I went on July 4th, and it was a beautiful day in Manhattan and the wind was perfect. I was a little scared because the boat does tilt, but the crew reassured everyone that the boat is designed to do that and will never over turn completely. Overall, I was very pleased with the crew and the ride. I look forward to doing this again anytime.

celebrating adult child 30 something birthday with wife, along with us mom and dad. and 17 year old daughter. lovely evening. music was very good and friendly staff on boat. complimentary drink good. we brought snacks along to enjoy. perfect

We enjoyed out sail with our teenagers. The captain was enthusiastic and the views were great. It was a breathtaking way to take in the Statue of Liberty for the first time. There is no real description of the things we saw by any of the staff, but many of them can answer your questions about the view. We took the sail at sunset, and it was quiet and the colors were great.

Fantastic staff and a great comfortable trip. Being a NYC local, didn't want the party scene or your guide drowning out the evening. Highly recommended for all couple and dates who love the city but need a moment to slow down and relax your mind. Thanks again.

great service, excellent staff, good food drinks, but a bit too expensive

The boat left on time. The entire crew was GREAT. The food was great. I would have had the best time of my life if it wasn't raining heavily the entire time but this is mother natures fault. I loved this trip. Will do it again.

We really enjoyed the sail and the crew and service were great. The length of the sail was perfect and the views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty were specatacular. FUN AND ROMANTIC!
