Classic Harbor Line

This was one of the most memorable ways to see New York City sitting in comfort, being well fed and with a helpful but not over powering commentary. From the moment we arrived at the dockside we were made to feel welcome. Staff were friendly but not over familiar, attentive without being over bearing. The boat was beautifully maintained and the quality of the brunch outstanding. The boat was not full to capacity and so the group had plenty of room to sit in comfort. Those participating similarly were friendly and we all had a brilliant time. I lived and working in NY in the 1970's and this was my wife's first trip to the States hence the tour. It is something I would recommend anyone coming to the city to do. The price per person is reasonable, though may deter those with a lot of children. For my own part I really enjoyed the fact that there were few children on board and those that were, were interested in the sights and understood how to behave in public. This trip is a must for anyone who does not want the crowds, screaming babies and adults arguing about who is looking after the kids. It is civilised, peaceful and well worth every cent. May your business continue to thrive.

I highly recommend this as a date. It's a fun and romantic evening. Neither my date nor I had been sailing before, so that in itself was an adventure. Even though we live locally, it was really amazing seeing the New York City and New Jersey skylines from a completely different view. We sat right next to the captain and found her to be very pleasant, informative, good natured and willing to answer our many questions. The rest of the crew was also great. It was a little chilly, but plenty of blankets were available and the wind just gave my date and I a little more reason to cuddle close. All in all a relaxing, beautiful, enjoyable evening. Something different than a regular dinner date. I would go again.

The crew was nice, but they seemed a little annoyed with our large birthday party. We were by no means there for a "booze cruise", but the crew seemed hesitant to help us and were not very attentive to each person. Some people were being served regularly, while I was constantly being missed.

We took this trip out on Saturday evening, it had been dry all day and the moment we reached the pier the rain came!!! We were told that the trip would commence after the storm had passed, didn't hold out much hope, obviously and thankfully the crew knew more than me as the storm did pass and a beautiful evening followed, we were taken out on this marvellous schooner down the Hudson, the staff were incredibly attentive filling out glasses constantly, they were very knowledgeable on all the landmarks and sites. The trip was sensational, I couldn't recommend it highly enough. We will take back to the uk some amazing pictures and wonderful memories of this trip.

It was actually my birthday - and a few of my friends and family decided this would be a nice way to spend it - it was very relaxing - and loved having a glass of champas to cheers with my friends to my birthday and a wonderful afternoon. it was one of the best birthdays i have ever had. it does depend on the weather though - and we were lucky that the sun was out and there was blue sky. was a wonderful time and the crew was lovely. Thank u for making my birthday wonderful!

We went on the wine tasting cruise to celebrate my 30th birthday. We had the most fantastic time. The boat was beautiful, the staff was friendly, the other guests were fun, the view was spectacular, and the wine and cheese was delicious. The day was perfect! We look forward to taking another cruise soon.

It was a great cruise with excellent wine and cheese. Though, please note that it was focused on wine and cheese than telling you about the sites like Statue of Liberty.

We recently boarded The Manhattan for a cruise of Manhattan Island. It was a beautiful day. The boat was clean and well maintained. Tables were set and equipped with wine glasses, bottles of water, and tablecloths. We left on time and made our way out of the harbor toward the beautiful Statue of Liberty, as Wendy, our wine afficionada, began her discussion of the wines of northern Italy. Just to get us started, we had a glass of bubbly white from Brotherhood winery in New York State as we left the harbor. Each subsequent wine was paired with its own particular cheese. Baskets of bread and almonds were placed on the table for our enjoyment. Some people brought their own lunch as well, but we didn't really need it. Each wine was described, its region pointed out on a map that was part of our handout, and cheese was tasted. At various times during the cruise we got up and walked upstairs to be outside for the magnificent views: under the GW Bridge was my personal favorite, after Lady Liberty. The boat was well ventilated and there were two in wait staff to attend to us. Dessert was served on our last lap, and we arrived back in the harbor at exactly the right time. I can't wait to go on my next cruise with Sail New York.

We have been to hundreds of wineries for wine tastings, but never experienced it on a boat before! The boat was very comfortable. The whole tasting room area of the boat was all windows and had beautiful nonabstructed veiws. The boat handled what waves that were on the water very well. Wendy was excellant in her knowledge of wine and cheese. The wines she picked were very good, and the cheese were types from Europe that we had never had before, and complimented the wines very well. The rest of the staff on the boat were very nice and fun. I would highly recommend this activity, and look forward to booking it again in the future when we can!

It was much better than I expected. They gave us 6 glasses of a variety of wine from Northern Italy. They were pretty big glasses so by the end of 3 hours everyone was feeling good. The cheese was very tasty as well. Wendy our host was great and has such a passion for wines that us getting rowdy just made her giddy.

I've done this sail a number of times over the last year - it's always fun and a great value.

This was my second time doing the sailboat ride and I enjoyed it just as much as my first time. It is one of the most romantic, relaxing, and just a fun time all around experience that I highly recommend.

The staff were wonderful, view was amazing, and just had a fabulous experience overall. Will definitely recommend.

The crew was knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. They appeared to enjoy their work and made us feel safe throughout the cruise. Great views of all sights. Lived in NY for many years and regret not doing this long ago.
