Classic Harbor Line

I have done the Adironack/Imagine cruising a few times - All but one of our group of 5 had done it before as well. I love the water and the view of Lady Liberty and the city. This trip was unique because we had a summer squall. The crew was completely prepared; dropped the mainsail early, handed out rain gear and gave us a great ride! I love this ride every time but this was a one time experience! Only one bad thing. There were 5 of us on this trip and only one drinks beer. We thought the price included wine as well but were told that was just for the Sunset Sail. Oh well, good thing we got the $15 off discount. For the record, the Sunset Sail is my fave - it's great to see the lights of the city come up from the water.

My boyfriend and I have both lived in the city for around 5 years - we both work so much, I thought it'd be nice - for his bday this year - for us to actually go DO something. He's from seattle, and loves the water and adventure-y type things, so I thought sailing would be perfect -and it was. We took the sunset sail to the statue of liberty and back. It was so beautiful and relaxing. it's an amazing bargain, considering the complimentary drinks and friendly, chipper staff. I'd never been so close to the statue, and it was breathtaking. HIGHLY reccommend this trip!

Staff was courteous and warm, the boat clean and beautiful. It was a great way to spend two hours; relaxing and basking in the sun. I only wish I had more than $5 pocket money to tip the staff!

Perfect way to spend an afternoon: out on the water, great views of Manhattan, warm breezes, entertaining crew, cold beer. Very peaceful escape from the city for a few hours.

...so my fiance was surprised. I made her wait for me at Ruthy's and she thought we were doing a dinner cruise or maybe a trip on the Circle line. She was thrilled and visibly nervous when I pointed out the Adirondack in all her quiet glory! All in all, we loved it, the boat is beautiful and the crew attentive and friendly. It was hazy so the sun wasn't very visible as it set, but somehow the Hudson turned pink and lilac anyway... and there's nothing better than staring up at Lady Liberty from the bay. Last thing, I really appreciated the fact that they stocked local NY brews... Go for the Porkslap Ale. Will be back and since I get to the Keys a couple times a year, will try and find her down there this winter.

We had a group of about 20 people to celebrate our friends Birthday on the boat. The problem with a large group is that since you mainly have to be sitting down on the boat the whole time, it makes it difficult to socialize/walk around/take pictures, etc. We were pretty much stuck in the spot we sat down at when we first boarded the boat. The captains were very friendly and allowed us to move around a little and get some pictures but not only did they frown upon that but it's a dangerous feeling and difficult anyway since the sailboat tips side to side, so it's better to be sitting anyway. I think one-on-one dates work better for this situation. The champagne, wine and beer was served continuously, it's fun to be able to bring your own snacks to go with the drinks served.

An unforgettable evening. Peaceful and romantic. We sailed out to the Statue of Liberty. On the way back, a flash thunderstorm soaked us, which only added to the wonder of the night. Great crew. We will do it again regularly.

My excursion on the schooner is probably unlike many others. A group of friends from NYC gathered to celebrate a friend's birthday but cruising the Hudson while sipping on champagne. The crew was very friendly and attentive. Our sail ended with the worst storm of the year- terrible winds, thunder and lightening. It was a blast! The captain and crew remained calm and assured us of our safety. Getting back to shore safe and sound was a great way to end the trip. What might have been a disaster to some turned into one of the most memorable evenings I've had in a while! Thanks to the crew on the Adirondack for taking such great care of us. I have certainly recommended this sail to others.

The wife and I had a great time. Crew was very professional and the sevice was great. We took the sunset cruise and the night was perfect.

Enjoyed the choice and quality of the sushi, the sake pairings were great and the ship and her crew were just wonderful. Really could not have been a nicer experience. Thanks.

The boat ride at sunset was a lovely venue for enjoying and learning about Greek wines. A fine selection of indigenous varietals was offered, accompanied by tasty foods. The hostess was gracious and knowledgeable, and the event was well organized. I would do this again and recommend to others.

This is a beautiful tour if the weather is nice...it needs the crew to be more involved in pointing out the sites to those who aren't from the area, or the captain to provide a narrative.

I'm a native NYer (Brooklynite) and was looking for a special activity for my fiance, as it was his birthday. He has sailed before, though it had been several years, and we both love sailing. I didn't know about this activity until I saw an article in AMNY. It was exactly what I wanted. I opted for the sunset sail and it couldn't have been any better. Perfect weather, clear skies, and the best sunset as we approached the Statue of Liberty. The cost for what you get beats any cheesy NYC tourist activity and the crew was great. I'll most certainly do this again in the future.

The susnset cruise trip was excellent. I woould recommend it to anyone. The blending of the sunet, the champagne,the captain and crew's service, and the sea planes taking off was better than I thought it would be. I will be making plans to do more trips with Classic Harbor lines.
