Rum and Cider

Had a great time. I am an experienced sailor myself and the skipper answered all of my annoying questions about the boat, the river, etc. When I travel I often try to book a sailing trip and the skippers are sometimes annoyed at another sailor asking a lot of know-it-all questions (I don't blame them), but your guys were great and were genuinely enthusiastic about teaching me about the boat and asking about my personal sailing experience. It was a good experience for my date too, because she puked (and it wasn't even rough at all) and we realized that we were not compatible and broke up the next day -no joke! Hey, life is short, you need to know these things as soon as possible...

Well Worth It

My wife and I went on a 6pm sail boat tour down to Ellis Island. It was chilly (Mid October), but well worth the money. The crew was very hospitable and for those who don't get to ride in large sailboats often it was enjoyable. Bringing your own food is a good idea, drinks were provided which was a nice addition. Whenever I go back I'd do the same thing again!

Great way to see another side of NYC!

I have visited New York over the past fiveteen years and wanted to do something new and exciting! If you like boats and being casual and free......this is definitely the way to go! The captain and his crew are excellent and the boat is large enough for one to have his own space. It was a bit chilly, but dress warm and enjoy the experience!

A must-do activity in New York City!
Tue, Oct 14, 08   8:30 PM sidesofla Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
My husband and I were thrilled with our full moon sail. After a long day of walking around the city, it was wonderful to sit down on a beautiful sail boat and take in the sights from the water. The crew was friendly and informative and we had plenty of hot cider and champagne to drink while sailing past lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. There were plenty of other folks enjoying the evening with us on the ship but we were able to find a quiet spot when we wanted one. I highly recommend this activity to anyone visiting the city, whether for the first time, like me, or for the 10th time like my husband!

Nice view of city

The sailboat fit about 13 customers and the three members of the crew. The crew was very friendly and served us drinks and gave us blankets to keep warm. They checked in with us periodically if we needed anything. If you plan on going on this sailboat, definitely grab a few blankets or bring a winter coat (I went in mid-October), because the water is much colder than land. We got to see much of the skyline but not all, as we didn't even go near the bridges.

Great cruise

This was a great sightseeing cruise expereince. The staff was helpfull and courtious. The ship was in magnivicent shape, was quiet, and though it did rock a bit with the waves and wind motion sickness wasn't a problem for anyone. Great views of the city, the sunset, the statue of liberty, the bridges, and some site interactive art exibits in the city. It was really nice to have both an outdoor deck and indoor sigtseeing area to mill around between at will during the cruise. The staff was very nice regarding my proposing on the bow of the ship and was gracious in providing some additional benifits to me and my fiance for the entirity of the trip. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone as a very enjoyable relaxing way to expereince the city.

Sunset cruise...best way to see NYC at night

Beautiful sunset cruise on a Saturday night. The captain and crew were very attentive and passed out blankets for those who needed them and then served champagne, wine, and soda. It was a fun trip and it seemed to end too soon.

FIRST CLASS

This was the most non-touristy thing we did while in NY and our favorite. Very relaxing environment on a beautiful boat. We sipped on champagne while viewing the gorgeous city lights of Manhattan, New Jersey and the Statue of Liberty. We also went by the four waterfalls that were on display at the time. The captain points out a few things along the way but for the most part is silent so we didn't feel like our heads were going to explode with data like they do on those red buses!! We thought this was a very special thing to do. No disappointments and zero complaints here!

Your boat ride was fantastic! I would recommend it to everyone. We had a blast!!!! The crew was great. But you should turn up the volume on those speakers. That was the only thing that was sub standard. Everything else was great!!!!! My friends couldn't stop talking about it. Thank you for a great day.

The sail was a very relaxing time for my wife and me. The wind (or lack thereof) wasn't exactly cooperating for a pure sailing experience, but we didn't mind. The crew was very friendly and answered any questions we could throw at them. All in all a great experience. Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I were only in NYC for the day and chose to spend our afternoon on the cruise. This ended up being a great decision! $40 each for an fall afternoon of amazing sights and free flowing champagne + a glass of wine. We've been raving about it to our friends and family since we got back and would definitely go again.

Charming River Cruise

The S/SManhattan gave this cruise a special feel and charm. We toured the sights in a nice tempo in a boat that has great seafaring qualities. The Captain and Crew gave brief and good historic background of Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty and other sights. The waterfalls were seen in a beautiful light, as we toured them around 5pm. Champagne was a great touch!
