Enjoyed it immensely
Fri, Dec 4, 09   6:30 PM theresa10 Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Was pleasantly surprised. Did not think it was going to be a good as it was. The woman who conducted the taste testing was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. The only negative was the size of the yacht. Thought we would be on a larger one. Was pretty rocky at times. My daughter got very sick and was not able to participate. Had we known it was going to be that small we probably would not have attended. There was a total of 6 of us from ages 21 thru 69. Overall very good.

Okay experience for time of year

First let me say I highly recommend the sailing trip offered in the warmer months (have done it twice). Went w/ mom from out of town on this Afternoon tea cruise. Got discounted tickets. Pros: -Comprehensive tour of island (circles all of Manhattan) -Small group size on our tour -Nice bathrooms on board (important for 2.75 hr) -Decent selection of tea sandwiches, etc. they bring it out in phases -Complimentary alcoholic beverage (although i spent an additional $20 on drinks) Cons: -Comprehensive tour of island..the upper-eastside and northern tip of tour are kind of boring- and hey I live up there...it's just not as interesting for "landmark recognition". -Buffet style snacks- which in NY means everyone is pushing to the front to get the best selection. and if you don't you might go without... -teas were okay, would have liked a larger selection -Staff on this particular tour was not as friendly as ones in the past (it was a holiday weekend) All in all would recommend for less than full-price ticket. Take the sail if you're here the right time of year

Good tour

It was a nice tour. They take you close up to the statue of liberty amoung other things. Very laid back, not really informational. It is a pleasant trip. It is romantic. They say to wear whatever you want however many dressed up. The boat was a little smaller then what I thought it would be, but it is cozy. For the money it is greatly recommended.

Seeing the city and its monuments at sunset from the harbour on the Manhattan can not get much better, unless you owned a private yacht of this class.

Wrong Pier

The location of the boat on on the diagrams out from said it was located at pier 59 which was inaccurate and lead us to walking back and forth a few times. We showed up at the warehouse about 20 minutes beforehand and wasted 15 looking around for the boat. The boat service quality was excellent once aboard.

GREAT SCENARY/ AVERAGE FOOD
Sun, Nov 22, 09   10:45 AM RDHCPA Male Unspecified Combination Group of Friends
Cruise was outstanding, the scenary is un-matched. The food was adequate. Not,a New York fare. Service, not coordinated. Where others received baskets of pastery it took a request on our part half way through the cruise to be recognized.

Constructive criticism

We arrived early as requested it was alittle chilly that night. It would have been better to wait on the ship and serve drinks as we waited to depart. We would have been more comfortable and you guys would have possiblly made alittle more money from the drinks being served. I bought a bottle of wine and I felt rushed. Otherwise, a nice little trip!

Great Day
Sat, Nov 21, 09   2:30 PM kelapril Female 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
We very much enjoyed our day sailing around Manhattan sipping on some great wines along with some very good accompanying treats. We had a full sailing, between 40 & 50 people, so it was tight, but we had a wonderful day and were able to use the outside decks to view the sights. The ship is small so if you don't take to water very well may not be for you. Otherwise if you enjoy sipping on wine with a bunch of new found friends, this is for you!

Pleasantly surprised

First off, our group was so lucky to have scored a sunny and warm day in November for our wine cruise - this time of year could have been so much worse. Everything that followed was equally great: the condition of the boat (nicest bathroom on the Hudson!), professionalism of the crew, choice and knowledge of wines, food and general ambience. Also lot sof chacces to take great I LOVE NY pictures. I would recommend this for a couple, a group of friends, something to do with mom and dad, locals and out of towners. Great job and thanks - looking forward to doing it again next year!

It was the most fun I ever had. It was enjoyable and relaxing. The wine was great. Enjoyed the atmosphere. The host was incredible. I would recommend that everyone try the wine cruise. It would be one that they would never forget. I am planning to go on another one.

Comfy sophistication on board a classic yacht
Sun, Nov 15, 09   2:30 PM suzcollins Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
The boat itself was lovely and classic, but the added touches of flowers, the runner down the center of floor and the throw pillows added to the overall feel of comfy sophistication. Captain was very personable and relaxed, which again added to that welcoming, comfy air. Servers were friendly and always ready to fulfill requests. This was a charming way to explore the harbor of NYC. Especially appreciated the small number of people; you actually felt like a guest on someone's yacht rather than just another crowded body on board. Food was yummy! Might increase the amount of fruit (although this time of year it gets pricey. Perhaps you can instead increase the amount of nuts????) and add another plate of tea sandwiches for a second serving---just a suggestion. Great job! I have told many folk about our adventure and highly recommended it! Sue Collins

Romantic and Memorable

My girlfriend and i went on this for our 2 year anniversary, and we had a really good time. There was a light mist outside, the trip was very romantic and had great ambiance. The staff was very friendly and the view was great. Really recommend this as a romantic trip thats different. I lived in NY my whole life and never got to experience New York like this.
