Classic Harbor Line

Well up to expectations. Delighted we sailed most of the way, and that it wasn't like the other booze cruises we saw on the river. Highly recommended, and good value too.

Our original date was scheduled for a Sunday which turned out to be rainy and windy. They allowed us to reschedule - which I didn't think they would do - for the following Thursday which was beautiful and sunny. We went on the sunset cruise which was fantastic, especially as we had friends from out of town. The NYC skyline was spectacular that time of the day. You get three huge glasses of wine or champagne or three bottles of beer, of which there was a large selection. I wouldn't say that our crew were particularly friendly or jolly - but competent enough. If you are very susceptible to motion sickness, I would recommend medication. Even on a relatively calm day there was plenty of movement. Really enjoyed the trip. Would recommend it and will go again.

I was tired to taking out of town guests on the same old circle line cruise or an expensive dinner cruise with average food. Found this on the internet and jumped on it. My guests loved it. Couldn't stop talking about it that evening and all the next day. What a nice change.

Great ride! Would go again, if the weather was just as nice.

It would have been nice if the Captain would tell us something abt the area she's taking us, for example, point places of interest, it would have been a great one if they even do any of that but they didnt so we just sat there in silence. It started raining so we were provided with yellow raincoats but it was all moldy and smelled so badly, so unsanitary, we had to take it off and just decided to be wet instead of get all smelly... I WILL NOT recommend this tour...try somewhere else

This tour was absolutely fantastic! Even though the weather wasn't great we still had an awesome time. The sailing team were very professional and nice. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone that likes water! :)

Once the captain gets out into the middle of the Hudson and senses a breeze, up go the sails and the boat tilts when the sails catch the wind and it is the most wonderful feeling! If you think this might freak you out, sit in the center of the boat (sorry I'm not nautical enough to know the term) where it is more stable and you are in a bit of a hollowed out area. The staff is great - sailors and cocktail waiters combined! The captain is fun, but very safe. DO NOT MISS THIS EXPERIENCE!

My family of four sailed on the Adirondack on Sunday, August 22, 2010. We had been visiting NYC for seven days and had very good weather up until this Sunday. On this particular day there were predictions of 80% chance of thunder showers and rain. Captain Andrew said it would rain and we were all given rain gear as we were leaving port. The Adirondack is a very sea worthy boat and the first 2/3 of the trip was exciting and fun. Then it began to rain. There were moments of intensity but Captain Andrew and the crew (Miguel and Judith) were able to bring us to port safely. I would definitely recommend this cruise to experience New York in a way that you can't have any other way.

This was a wonderful experience. Casually elegant atmosphere. The food was great, the crew was very attentive and the scenery is incomparable. I was so surprised to discover that we were completely circling Manhattan. It was a wonderful experience and one that I highly recommend.

Although it rained during most of the trip, it was a great experience! The crew was very friendly and the captain gave short announcements about the sights along the way. The tour is almost three hours long but you get to see all of Manhattan from the river, providing ample photo opportunities. The brunch was also very nice, especially the first part with bagels, muffins and the possibility to make your own waffles (yummie!). Then there were some sausages and quiche, followed by ham and sallad, before finishing off with fruits and cookies. Only point to consider is that the boat allegedly can take up to 90 passangers... We were about 15-20 on the trip and another 10 people would have been fine but then it would have got very crowded to sit inside and to queue for food. Also, I would not recommend to bring younger children along. However, I would be happy to do the trip again with adult guests.
