| I sailed on Adirondak once before; today I brought my wife and adult kids. I have sailed for many decades on many oceans. This is a fine safe boat and the crew is delightful. Yes, under the watchful eye of our captain, I was able to be at the helm myself. | ||||||

| I SO enjoyed my sailing cruise on the Adirondak on Saturday afternoon! The crew was very friendly and helpful! The wind was wonderful and our captain took that oportunity to give us a thrilling sail through New York Harbor! I highly recommend this cruise to Everyone! There was a small boy on board (perhaps 2 or 3 years old). I overheard him say to his father "This is lovely, Dad!" A perfect cruising and sightseeing experience for people of all ages and origins! | ||||||

| It was a wonderful afternoon on the Hudson River in a beautiful sailboat powered only by the wind. Small enough to feel the speed and the breeze but big enough not to get wet or scared. It made the weekend! | ||||||

| The crew was sensational. The sunset was sensational. The free beverages were sensational. I only left the boat craving more.... I felt like once we got where we goign we motored back so fast that I had forgotten how exciting and how much fun it was going to be. So I was annoyed that we rushed back to the dock... wanted it to last a little longer. | ||||||

| Having been on this sail myself with my girlfriend, I booked the trip for my sister and her boyfriend, knowing they'd be guaranteed a magical night. It's one of the best date activities you could think of, and there were actually couples, families, friends and individuals on my trip, and everyone was enjoying themselves so much. We passed by one of the huge, generic cruise ships when I went and laughed at everyone scrunched up together and looking rather unenthuised as they passed by. Everyone aboard the Adirondack is always at ease, enjoying themselves and thrilled. The sail is definitely one of the best things to do in New York and a great value for your money. The boat is beautiful and the crew incredibly friendly and helpful. Check out their luxury yacht Manhattan also. I passed by it both times I've been on the Schooner and will probably book that one next. | ||||||

| This was just what I wanted! My boyfriend loves to be out on the water and I gave this to him for our anniversary. We had a great time. The service was amazing and the views of the city and Statue of Liberty were spectacular. I would definitely reccommend this cruise! | ||||||

| I have been on the sails many times -- it's one of my favorite things to do in New York, either by myself or with friends -- and once again I had a spectacular trip. I bought tickets for a friend and her husband for her birthday, and another couple joined us as well. While I have been on the boat many times, none of them ever had -- and they all thought it was a unique and amazing experience. They were shocked that within 5 minutes of leaving the Manhattan pier, it was so quiet and calm you could have been anywhere. One of the couples was in from Los Angeles, and even with all the sails and cruises available there, they thought this one stood out. The views of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and downtown New York City captivated them, but when we pulled up within a few hundred feet of the Statue of Liberty, with the motor off and no noise whatsoever, they were hooked. (And every time one of the big, loud, booze cruises or Circle Line boats passed by with hordes of people and loud music blaring, they would comment on how glad they were not to be on one of those.) Throw in some cold champagne and beer, and it was a very special evening they won't forget anytime soon. | ||||||

| I have been on a dozen or more cruises around Manhattan and believe the Schooner Adirondack is the best. If you want a booze cruise, dinner cruise or live music, there are plenty of those options. If you want a quiet, intimate sail (not really a sail because, although the sails are hoisted, the engines are running--quietly--most of the time because it would be impractical to sail to the Statute of Liberty and back in 2 hours), this is the best choice. The crew is great, the schooner is comfortable, you can bring a picnic basket and they serve free drinks. Really makes you thankful that you live in Manhattan. | ||||||

| I found this activity by doing a search on the Internet. It was much nicer than I could have ever expected. The ship was very nice and comfortable. The crew was outstanding in their hospitality and friendliness. There were mothers and their children on board for the sail, and the captain was very attentive to their safety, while at the same time making it special for the kids. Of course, it didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day in NYC. :) My wife and I have a wonderful time. We'd love to do it again with our out of town guests, or maybe even try the sunset sail. | ||||||

| I thought the Captain was fairly cold. Also, given the price of the actvity I don't think the mild pressure to tip the crew just because they brought you a bottle of water to be inappropriate. Debra Sherman | ||||||
