Relaxing with a pretty view

This was much nicer than my husband and I expected. Very relaxing, the city at night is a wonder to see when you can truly enjoy the sight. You sit on the sides or on top of the middle of the schooner (don't know terminology) but it was comfortable. Noone gave a narrative guide to the areas we passed but they did answer any questions. The sail was very quiet and peaceful, except when we would pass party boats. Everyone was very friendly on the water and greeted us. I spoke so highly of it to members of my family we will try to plan a family night of it. I did not set my camera for night shots so I missed a lot of great shots, especially in front of the Statue of Liberty. |

Smooth waters and clear skies translated into calm winds, but that didn't detract from the relaxing effects of the sail. Tranquility offsets the fast pace of the city. Highly recommended just to unwind. The sunset cruise is especially awesome, since one gets to witness the transition of the city's spectacular skyline into nightlife. |

Enjoyed the sail on this new boat with a small crowd (15 people total) Felt like a private cruise. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They seem proud of the boat and the happiness it brings to others. I would recommend this cruise to a local or tourist - the length at 1.5 hours is just right. I would like to try the weekend brunch next time. A first-class experience, the anti-Circle Line. Please keep it this way. |

My husband and I were spending the weekend in Manhattan and decided that a sail down the Hudson would be a nice way to spend the afternoon. The ship was lovely and the crew was attentive but not overbearing. It was nice to escape the noise of the city and sail down to the Statue of Liberty and back.
I highly recommend this trip. |

I would definitely recommend taking this cruise, whether it's for a regular sail or the brunch cruise. My friend and I did the brunch cruise and were very happy with everything. There were plenty of foods to choose from and the adventure around Manhattan itself was worth it. We took the full cruise which starts off heading downtown (Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Seaport) and takes you up the East River where you pass under at least 18 bridges and see the sites of Queens and the Bronx (Yankee Stadium). When the boat turns it then comes down the Hudson River and you see all the sites on that side as well. Definitely an enjoyable cruise and a great way to get some sun. It isn't overly crowded like Circle Line and is more intimate. It's a nice ride to go on a date or as a present to a loved one. |

We took the 6pm 2 hour trip..it happened to be a beautiful day and the sun started to set for our trip. It was a great way to start up an evening. The costs may be a little steep for some, but it does include some drinks and if you plan a picnic you can enjoy food on board and not worry about dining afterward...recommended. |

I've lived in the city for 12 years and have been on the Hudson river before when invited on a private boat but those invitations don't come often-I could do this every weekend if I wanted!!
My boyfriend and I went with two other couple and a single guy friend-we had a blast.
It was a beautiful night on the Hudson river.
And what a value.... you'd easily spend $50.00 on drinks at a crowded bar or restaurant ... this way you get to see the beautiful NYC skyline on the open water.
The staff was friendly and the whole experience was effortless-I live within walking distance of the pier so transportation was a piece of cake.
Next time I'll go on the 8:30 sail to be out under the stars. It's very romantic too!
I would also bring food, though we did go to the Chelsea Brewery afterwards for noshing.
I have recommended to all my friends and co-workers. |

We did allot in New York, but all of the other events pale in comparisson to this wonderful cruise down the Hudson River, out to the Statue of Liberty and back. While we were waiting for our City Lights cruise to board I listened to the comments from the people getting off of the Sunset Cruise on the Adirondack; awesome, wonderful, best thing we've done... nearly everyone getting off was talking about what a great time they had. Our group was not disappointed, from the time the sails filled with wind and the engine was turned off it was pure magic for the next hour-and-a-half. Great skipper, great crew, great time. Dress warmer than you think you need to though! |

I took my husband and a group of friends for my husbands' birthday. The crew were great - polite, friendly and knowledgeable. We packed a picnic dinner to take onboard and we were provided with cocktails throughout the cruise. It was a great evening - a lot of fun! Everyone in our party said they would do it again and tell friends who would also enjoy the sail.

As advertised. The full moon sail, did not have much moon (they cannot control the clouds) but we did set-out with a great sunset. It is a very low-key expereince. The crew provided amples rounds of drinks. The high-point was the unfurling of the sails and turning off the engines so that we were just uner wind-power. Sailing just up to the lit-up Statue of Liberty is the highlight of the sail--hard not to get a little choked up as you have just passed Ellis Island. |
