Classic Harbor Line

Our family from Canada went this May 2010 and booked your sail boat. First off the boat was very well maintained and the crew were very friendly and more than looked after our needs and stressed the safety aspect. The boat sailed to the Statue of Liberty and along the NYC skyline that was beautiful to say the least. They served drinks , had blankets if you were cool and looked after our beck and call. The Captain ( Lady) even let you steer the boat if you liked, which a few people did getting their pictures taken. We had heard that New Yorkers are very friendly people and that is so right!!!. We are going to NYC next year and will be taking the harbor tour again. It's definitely worth the cost, our family would highly recommend it if your thinking of going to New York.

The crew was very very very nice. It was a lovely trip. The group of about a dozen hipsters was pretty obnoxious. I appreciated that the captain respectfully asked one of them to turn off her iPhone music. For two hours, people in the group were making a steady trail to the bathroom- it was pretty clear that they were doing coke. It would be nice if there was a maximum group size (maybe 6?) and require larger groups to charter the whole boat. But the crew and the ship and sailing at sunset made for a memorable excursion that I will recommend to friends.

From start to finish a wonderful experience. Being a sailor myself, I was even invited to "captain" the boat for a few minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful, wine was good, and the weather was great! A great way to get out on the water without all the tourists and tour guides.

Perfect from start to finish...weather decent, sailed to Statue of Liberty and back., crew members helpful and friendly, free drinks for all/./. great sightseeing...a memorable experience,,,worth repeating.

A couple of my friends go on this sailing tour all the time and it is fun to go as a group as well. The crew is very attentive and helpful, we especially like the bottles of bubbly ($20) which are fun to share on the water. I recommend bringing guests from out of town because the boat goes close to the statue of liberty and Ellis island, also showing views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge. They should make a membership or a pass with special rates, we would go all the time!

Taking a sail in a traditional Schooner up the shore of Manhattan is a beautiful experience that is so worth it. A very unique experience and a must-do when you're visiting NYC!

I would do this again. I saw the city from a different perspective. It's quiet on the water, so if you're spending a lot of time in the city and need a break from all of the action, this is a good choice. Very relaxing. The crew was as friendly as advertised. The two hours went by quickly.

We had an excellent time - a sailing boat is perfect for a breezy Saturday afternoon in early summer. Even though some of the passengers were slightly obnoxious, the crew was very nice and professional - never imposing, but always around and available. The cruise can be improved slightly if it also takes a turn up the east river to, say, UN level, although such a modification would lengthen it considerably. All in all, a very good experience.

The enchanting views of New York from the river are not to be passed up by anyone, including New Yorkers. The feeling of being on a sail boat as the winds gust through your hair is an experience on its own well worth the ride.

My party consisted of 3 of my sister-in-laws, my daughter and my best friend. The weather was perfect. The Captain and crew were so friendly. Wendy Crispell was our hostess. She was very knowledgeable about each wine she presented along with the cheeses she served for each wine. She gave us the history behind each wine and vineyard. She has a great personality and therefore made learning even more fun. The boat was beautiful and held just the right amount of people. We are definitely considering doing another cruise, maybe the chocolate, cheese and wine one! This time with more of our family! All and all it was a great day and will do it again....

Good tasting, nice boat, a bit pricey.

This was the best part of our New York experience. We had such a great time. We will do this again when we return to New York.
