We were under power the whole way even though there was some wind. Also we couldn't enter the other side being the East River. Seemed boring.

MAGICAL

This is a wonderful way to spend an evening, and it beats any disco/dinner activity on the Hudson River. The crew are very friendly, and the sunset is out of this world. The best two hours spent in New York.

I needed something relaxing to end my weekend and prepare for a hectic week ahead...and the 8:30pm Sunday night Schooner Adirondack sail was just what I needed! The boat wasn't too crowded, so there was plenty of room to walk around, lay down and look up at the stars, or just gaze off at the gorgeous NYC skyline. The captain even let me take a hand at the wheel for a while as we sailed out to the Statue of Liberty. Thanks a ton to the captain and the crew - you guys were as great as the boat itself!

Wonderful experience sailing the Hudson Bay at sunset passing by the Statue of Liberty, seeing the New York skyline from the Bay. It was so quiet and pieceful. Magical!

It was very relaxed trip after a busy programm during daytime. Besides it was very nice that the captain was from Belgium and we had a nice chat in our own language. Everybody who put his/her feet on Manhattan should also jump on the Schooner to experience the amazing views and silcence on the water.

This is an awesome adventure that will get you away from the intense heat and the overwhelming crowds of Manhattan on a summer day.Great photo opps!! The schooner is beautiful and the captain is freindly.I think the crew was a bit unfreindly, maybe because of the heat !!! Regarless ,I would have tipped much better had they been more interactive and freindly. The skyline and the Statue of Liberty is incredible, but I would have liked to have been informed as to all the other interesting sites we were looking at!! I would do this trip again if i returned to NY.

The lovely sails on the Adirondack are so refreshing after a hard day's work. When you want to just relax and detach, go with the friendly staff and crew of the Adirondack. The best bargain in town!

You Have To Try This!

I would definitely recommend taking this cruise, whether it's for a regular sail or the brunch cruise. My friend and I did the brunch cruise and were very happy with everything. There were plenty of foods to choose from and the adventure around Manhattan itself was worth it. We took the full cruise which starts off heading downtown (Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Seaport) and takes you up the East River where you pass under at least 18 bridges and see the sites of Queens and the Bronx (Yankee Stadium). When the boat turns it then comes down the Hudson River and you see all the sites on that side as well. Definitely an enjoyable cruise and a great way to get some sun. It isn't overly crowded like Circle Line and is more intimate. It's a nice ride to go on a date or as a present to a loved one.

Perfect night adventure

As a tough old cynical West Side New Yorker I really enjoyed this "tourist" adventure. The price keeps down the number of kiddies and oddies, so one sailed with reasonable people and a friendly crew. I guess if I had a suggestion, it would be to begin the sail a little later as the moon had trouble showing itself out of the low haze that surrounds the city. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close and personal was awesome. Wish we could have hung out there a bit longer. All in all ... a super time. Best wishes.

So glad I cut out of work and took a last-minute trip on the Adirondack! So refreshing and revitalizing after a crazy work week! Thanks Captain, for a thriling, high-speed sail!

The staff and crew aboard the Adirondak are always friendly and professional. This trip was no exception! We cruised up the Hudson to see the beautiful Palisades in all their full Fall Glory! We arrived to a tray of h'or d'oevres and hot apple cider. YAY! The lunch was made up of very elegant sandwiches and salads. Made to suit New York City tastes. We even had a dessert tray! Next year I think we should EXTEND the cruise from 9AM - 5PM and include a stop at Sleepy Hollow's Haunted Hayride! The sailing that day was wonderful and Captain Sarah took full advantage of the wind! So sorry they won't be sailing again until the Spring... Oh well, I can always take a circumnavigation of the island on The Manhattan during the winter months!
