Classic Harbor Line

This was a great trip. Our guide was well-informed and articulate. The views and anecdotes were spectacular. Captain, crew and repast were top-notch.

Popular tour and somehow had my reservation for October 2013. Not sure how that happened but check your ticket carefully. Luckily a group of four did not show so we were able to get on, but it was full. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. We had quite a lot of seniors on our tour who seemed more interested in chatting and eating than on the guide which was unfortunate as it made it hard to hear him at times. Fascinating to see the island from this angle and a very comprehensive tour. Highly recommended

This is an enjoyable , just short of, three hour tour. Of course there is the simple pleasure of being on the water and enjoying the overall views of NY and NJ. Added to that was the informative guide pointing out various historic or iconic buildings and giving us the history past and present. The guide was well informed and enthusiastic and really made the tour a pleasure. It was also a nice treat to have a complementary drink and a very tasty selection of fresh fruits, chesses, crackers and cake to enjoy.My only suggestion is the sound inside the cabin really bounces around so either the sound level needs to be raised slightly or a better effort needs to be made to get the loud talkers, there are always a few, to lower their volume so the guide can be better heard. Well worth the money and a great way to spend a part of your day.

This almost 3 hr. boat tour around Manhattan Isle is jam packed with wonderful information. As a lifelong NYC resident who frequently explores our city's streets, I gained a completely new perspective on the architectural life of the city. This is a wonderful tour for locals and tourists alike. As a local, I learned lots of new information about things I thought I already knew about! The wooden yacht, the crew, and the AIA docent were all superb. All made even better with a beverage and wonderful fresh fruit, cheese and cake. A perfectly delightful afternoon that I am sure to repeat in the future.

The cruise and the speaker were excellent. Th problem we had, which the speaker tried to deal with, was that many passengers continually and loudly talked. You have to wonder why someone would take a specialized tour at a fairly high price if they simply wanted to gossip among themselves. The speaker did his best to quiet them but was not entirely successful.

Despite a glum day, the tour was comfortable and edifying. The guide was knowledgeable, not only about the architecture but also the city history and geology of the terrain. I would have liked a brief summary of the high points in printed form to accompany the map. it was a nice touch to have a fruit and cheese buffet and a conplimentary drink. Overall a very civilized experience.

Grea trip; excellent guide; highly recommend it

My wife and I loved this tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about all of the coastal developments and their history, but especially the architectural comments on the buildings and bridges. You will enjoy the tour so much that you will not beleive how fast the time goes.

A complete WOW for this group of lifelong New Yorkers; we wanted to do it all over again immediately. The time flew, hastened by the informative, colorful, thoughtful narrative of our guide, John K whose range of knowledge is staggering. Can't wait to take his "infrastructure" tour focussing on the engineering that keeps our city functioning.

Was very disappointed in the refreshments It was our intention to treat our friends from the UK I assumed that the $75 ticket covering one free drink was exactly that Our friends had a cup of coffee when we got on the boat They offered to collect our complimentary drinks and were charged since they had had coffee This information was not clear and paying for champagne and beer is very different than a cup of coffee Very disappointed to have had our friends treated this way And have them left with a feeling that they were misled

We were delighted with the cruise. It was comfortable, interesting and offered lots of new information and sights. The narrator (John) knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. The boat was comfortable, the crew was attentive and the brunch was delicious. Before taking the cruise, we thought it seemed a bit expensive, but it was well worth the price.

This was a terrific tour. Docents provided a nearly non-stop commentary and history. The views of the city were unusual and informative. The crew also provided a lovely light snack lunch and beverages. I highly recommend this to everyone.

Loved the entire experience. Knowledgeable guides and wonderful service from the crew. Only recommendation would be to lessen the density a bit. Shaving 10-15% of the buildings and or descriptions would allow either more white space or less frenetic viewing.

This tour was informational and fun. The guides were very well informed and shared little-known facts about NYC. The boat was lovely and in excellent condition. Champagne and snacks were served in an elegant fashion. i highly recommend this event.

Loved the trip. However, the narration would have been greatly enhanced by an additional loudspeaker at the front of the ship. When we were sailing into the wind, it was very difficult to hear. And yet this was the choice location on the boat. Brochure/map handed out was terrific. Drinks and snacks feature very classy. Architects very knowledgeable and interesting. Provided information two locals had never heard before.
