Classic Harbor Line

We liked the trip route but the seating was very poor and being limited to just the seating area was not enjoyable at all. Especially when the captain even asked that no one stands! The trip was a little short...another 1/2- 1 hour more would be better!

A great experience whether a local or visitor

I thought the sailboat was a visually relaxing ride that allowed us to enjoy the NY cityscape and all its brilliance. Everyone gets to chat with their company, drink, and eat, if you brought your own food. The wind and sound of the river waves brushing against the sides of the boat was all enough reason to go. Thank You.

Capitan Andrew and his crew had great energy and the trip was excellent. Plenty to drink and a beautiful night to sail towards the statue of liberty. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone, local or visitors.

Wonderful, relaxing, beautiful view, worth every penny for this trip

I took 2 business clients from Germany on Adirondack III, and they absolutely loved it! The choice was a Broadway show or a sail in the NY harbour - I made the right choice. My clients will be talking about this 2 hr for a long time. We cabbed over to the piers after a nice lunch in Chelsea. The crew was great. They served beer and soda, as much as you want. A good crowd was on board, not overcrowded, and they were not the typical tourist bunch.

Considering the high price of everything in NYC, this sailing excursion is a bargain. Several hours of relaxation and gorgeous views without riding elbow-to-elbow with a hoard of tourists on one of the ferries. When the sails are unfurled and the engine quieted, you'll enjoy a beer or wine and take in the view. Our crew was friendly and efficient. The crew members apparently work for tips only, so don't be too stingy if you found them pleasant and capable. Ahoy!

Not expensive, nice and friendly crew, nice boat, relaxing sunset on the staue of liberty.

Wonderful relaxing sunset sail. Our original sail was cancelled due to Hurricane Earl but was replaced per our request the night before the cancelled date. It was a lovely evening. We didn't even need the windbreaker we brought along. It was two full hours of sailing and when we weren't close enough to the Statue of Liberty for pictures, Captain Andrew got us closer. We took the 6 pm sail, which wasn't crowded at all. Started in complete daylight ending in dusk with lights on. The later sail was much more crowded as it passed us. We were happy we went on the smaller quieter sail. The Captain and two crew members were all friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to see the Statue without actually going out to it and would like a slower pace in a very busy city that doesn't sleep.

My family wanted to do something different. I wanted to go around Manhantan but my kids- age 20 and 24 didn't want to do the tourist thing which I appreciated. But the three of us all appreciated the quiet, the beauty of the skyline, and the laughter we had on the sail boat. We took food, more like appetizers, and had the adult beverages. And it was enough. I would highly recommend. We went during the Labor Day weekend for the US Open. Everyone on the boat was friendly.

The cruise boat was smaller than the large cruise liners that also give harbor tours, but this is a good thing because it made for a more intimate and enjoyable time! Fresh breath of air from the busyness of the city! We had our 9 year daughter along only because we were scheduled for an afternoon cruise the following day, however, due to weather they cancelled the cruise and offered us to reschedule for any cruise of our choice or a full refund - due to us visiting the area. I was very impressed with how professional everyone was and the sights I saw were very beautiful. They also get very close to the Statue of Liberty, which allows for pleanty of photo ops. I would definately recommend this cruise to anyone!

Great weekend activity for family and friends.

Excellent cruise around Manhattan and a close view of Lady Liberty. Informative desciptions of prominent buildings given by architects and historians. Staff was very pleasent and professional. Wine and cheese was an additinal plus.

Always wondered why NYC didn't have such a tour as the incredible Chicago tour and now we do and it's fantastic. Love having different guides and expertise and the fact that they don't mind being corrected. The only problem is that there is too much to be covered. It simply cannot be done. People unfamiliar to NY won't be aware of what they missed. Others of us are disappointed when one of our favorites is not mentioned. The one handout has the names of the buildings in an illegible red. I would haved like to hear more sociological information on how certain communities came to be (lower East side & Harlem). Lack of time is probably the explanation. The snacks were yummy and beautifully presented. The crew could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
