a friendly and capable crew plus good food and wonderful sights made this a very enjoyable experience.

My friends and I had a wonderful time aboard the Yacht. The food was yummmmy and plenty. The Capitan-Thomas and crew were wonderful. I recommend this cruise. David thank you for my waffle it was scrumptious. Thank you again for a wonderful time, great food and great people.

My wife and i had a fabulous outing! Weather looked suspect for the evening, yet turned perfect. Unknown to us until embarkation, we were two of only 5 people (out of a complement of 49 available slots) ;who signed up for this 8:30 -10:30PM Saturday night cruise; notwithstanding, the Adirondack (with its marvelous crew of 3) honored our reservations and treated us to our own personal tour. The sights were awesome, right up through our rendezvous with the Statue of Liberty ... so imposing, so breathtaking. The crew were friendly, knowledgeable of the surroundings, and thoroughly entertaining and easy to be with for 2 hours out on the Hudson. We even caught 30-40 minute of fireworks from the Brooklyn piers, which just added to our spectacular evening. We hated to return to the docks; but it was a total "High," and we would recommend this very affordable evening cruise to anyone. The cruise runs several times/ day; but I do believe the evening is a highlight withe all of the dazzling lights of the city and the NJ shore just there to "make your day" unique and complete. But do dress warmly, season-related.

Gorgeous boat, friendly staff, great fun. Perfect way for tourists and locals alike to experience Manhattan without the guided tour effect. Last time we went out it was cold and we got blankets...this time it was wet and we got slickers...cant get any more accomodating...and the price is great. -C

Despite the fact that it was totally cloudy and we couldn't see the sunset, my experience was great! To sail the Hudson River is a different experience that I'd recommend to anyone that ask me for a different activity to do in New York City. The sensations are great, there's only a bunch of people aboard, and the service at the boat is really good. My family and I had a feeling of exclusivity, a fact that is difficult to find in any 'tourist' attraction around the city.

I had planned the boat trip as a special treat for my mother's 70th birthday during her and my aunt's visit to NYC. Many tourists who come to the city express interest in taking the Circle Line tours of the rivers that surround Manhattan. Since I knew my mom and aunt would want to get on the water during their visit, I spared myself the horror of riding on one of those awful Circle Line ferryboats and searched the Internet for an alternative that I could enjoy, as well. The many positive reviews on Yelp! led me to SailNYC. I am pleased to say the reviewers were correct, the experience of sailing on a SailNYC schooner was wonderful despite the cold, rainy conditions. Captain Julian and his crew were professional and courteous, friendly and accommodating, and the complimentary beers were a nice touch. The boat was in pristine condition, and there was a great deal of comfortable places to sit, since there were only about 15 other individuals on our trip (the 4 pm sail). The sail was smooth and the captain did a good job of keeping us informed of what to expect when the sails were raised and lowered. I highly recommend SailNYC over the more commercially well known boat operators in Manhattan. For just $10-20 more than the cost of a ticket on a tourist ferryboat, you can experience personalized service and a much more interesting vessel on which to travel. My only criticism is that the plea for tips at the conclusion of the sail was inappropriate. I feel that service should be included with the cost of the ticket, and a request for additional tips should not be openly made. Instead, a "tip jar" should be placed so everyone can see it and tip if they wish.

Julian, the captain, was super nice and friendly. Very good sailor too. His crew was equally personable and helpful. It was a truly great afternoon! Highly recommended!!

At only $40 a person this trip is of great value. Good time had by all even considering the rain.

Despite rainy weather on Sat. June 13th, Captain Julian and his crew made our 4:30pm cruise a really cool, interactive experience and made us want to come back for another cruise. Outstanding experience, from beginning to end. Crew was efficient, courteous and very helpful. Wine expert was informative and friendly. The pairings were exceptional and perfectly timed to provide continuous activity throughout the cruise. I would recommend this cruise to everyone, and intend on taking guests who will be visiting with me over the summer.

We went sailing as part of a bachelorette weekend and it was a lot of fun! The staff was very nice and even though the weather was a little gray, we had an amazing time just the same!
