| it was my friend's birthday, and this was what she wanted for her birthday. I was worried, because she had both knees operated on 3 months ago (and still had to take pain killers) and I was afraid the whole thing would be awful. BUT ... it was everything it could possibly be! The weather was spectacular (just enough breeze to make a good sail possible), with light clouds and wonderful sunset. The staff was helpful, cooperative and competent and the entire complement had a wonderful time. I sailed a small sloop out of Glen Cove, Long Island, for two summers, so I knew a little bit of how much work and effort went into making this such a pleasant and seemingly effortless event. I would recommend this short-but-oh-so-sweet sail around the harbor to absolutely anybody and everybody (although not to families with young children: it's too tough to try and make the little ones sit for 2 hours). When I booked the cruise, I thought the price was a bit steep for a mere two hours sitting in a sailboat. But -- thanks in part to the glorious weather and the captain's experience and competence -- after my friend and I arrived back at Pier 59, we both felt we had gotten a great bargain! Too bad my birthday's in January; otherwise I know what I'd ask for ... for sure! | ||||||

| Although there was a considerable breeze, the crew didn't seem to take as much advantage of it as possible, or as much as I've had on past trips. Other boats were heeling and moving much faster than ours. Also, there could/should have been more commentary of the sights passed. | ||||||

| My daughter and I walked miles and miles during our stay in NY and I know there is so much more to see............. and on the fifth day, we did! Aboard a comfortable, cozy yacht with food! drink! and fun! We saw a different view of so many sights we'd seen on land and many more. The food and wine was absolutely wonderful. This tour allowed us to sit and visit with other tourists as well as locals..... what a blast. Being from Texas you hear how some people are not as friendly.... pish posh!!! Loved everyone and everything about this tour! TAKE IT FOR SURE! We will again next trip! | ||||||

| The view was good, but the whole experience was disappointing. The motor ran almost the entire trip - the sails seemed to be simply props on the ship. The captain and crew should have pointed out landmarks to us, and made some sort of commentary. When we got on the ships, the captain gave us a brief orientation of what drinks were available, but then didn't say a word during the entire trip. At one point I asked where Ellis Island was, and they said, "oh, we passed it already." Obviously, we recognized the Statue of Liberty, but it would have been nice if they would have commented on the various islands, the bridges, the many interesting buildings we passed, where the World Trade Center had once been, the Statue of Liberty (all lit up for the 4th of July), the history of the Statue of Liberty (that was the first weekend it was open to visitors -- it had been closed since 9/11), etc. It was not a tour, just kind of a lame ride. Oh, the captain did ask us to tip the staff before we disembarked. | ||||||

| Our group of friends (8 guys and girls) did the sunset cruise as a birthday outing for a friend. The views were incredible and the boat itself was the perfect size- the crew made us feel like the whole tour was just for us! All of us agreed that we would do the trip again in the future with out of town guests or for another special occasion. | ||||||

| We had a blast and loved every minute of the cruise. When my parents come in town next week I want to take them, and I want to take my boyfriend when he comes into town next time. The boat takes you right up to the Statue of Liberty, and if you get cold they provide you with fleece blankets. Plus there is plenty of alcohol to keep you warm =) | ||||||

| This was the first trip of this type for my family, we didn't really know what to expect....We were pleasantly surprised. Loved the fact that it was on a "smaller" scale and received that "personal" touch...The history was awesome and very informative.. The boat was very comfortable and the food was delicious...I would most definitely recommend to friends. Actually I already have and they are planning on booking it ASAP... | This was much nicer than my husband and I expected. Very relaxing, the city at night is a wonder to see when you can truly enjoy the sight. You sit on the sides or on top of the middle of the schooner (don't know terminology) but it was comfortable. Noone gave a narrative guide to the areas we passed but they did answer any questions. The sail was very quiet and peaceful, except when we would pass party boats. Everyone was very friendly on the water and greeted us. I spoke so highly of it to members of my family we will try to plan a family night of it. I did not set my camera for night shots so I missed a lot of great shots, especially in front of the Statue of Liberty. | ||||||

| We took the sunset one and had an incredible time. My bf has lived in NYC for 10 years and thought it was one of the most beautiful views of the city. The crew on board was so friendly...they kept the drinks flowing for the full two hours. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting or anyone who has lived in the city and wants to see how beautiful it looks from the water. | ||||||

| They do provide you with plenty of beverages, water, soda and beer. It was a wait before we got on the boat, apparently they were short a crew member. When we finally did board, we had an unscheduled stop to go to New Jersey to pick up this crew member. It seemed to me to be awhile before they actually got the sails up and the motor off. I'm sure we got short changed on our time, and did not get our full two hours. | ||||||
