It was a nice get-a-way from the city, the staff was friendly and the sail had amazing views of NYC and NJ! I can not wait to do it again.

Very relaxing way to see the Statue of Liberty

The sunset cruise with a glass of wine is my way of seeing the Statue of Liberty. The kids even got to help drive the boat. Nice trip for the whole family.

romantic sunset cruise to view the Waterfalls

The ship was very roomy with nice viewing from the front of the ship. The champagne was a very nice touch and the route allowed closeup views of Ellis Is, the Statue of Liberty, lower Manhattan/Battery Park, South St Seaport, Governors Is and the Brooklyn Bridge. Plus, we saw the Waterfall display as the sunset turned to star-filled night. Really beautiful.

Very enjoyable brunch cruise

It was a freezing windy day, and the enclosed yacht couldn't have been nicer. The food was average yet plentiful and the crew was very, very attentive and helpful. Roomy cabin area plus a nice deck to go out on if it's not a cold day. I would recommend this trip!

We shared a beautiful memory on the waters around New York on this wonderful sailing ship. The crew was very helpful and attentive to our needs. Highly recommended. Gary and Sharon Van Derford San Diego, Calif.

Fun but some warning would be nice!

They should tell you before they are about to make a steep turn....Fun, but a little warning would avoid a lot of mess with drinks. Also, I need to know when t hold onto my son a little tighter.

Really enjoyed it despite the foggy weather

I gave this outing to my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. It was a very foggy, rainy day, but we still really enjoyed the experience. We did not get to see spectacular sunny views, but we did get a lot of really interesting pics of the city in the fog. We live in Upper Manhattan and enjoyed the tour up and around northern Manhattan. We were expecting a light continental breakfast, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. There was an array of bagels and fresh fruit plus hot foods like quiche and waffles. The coffee was even good! The staff was great - friendly and helpful. The skipper did a great job, despite the added stress of all the fog and rain. The boat is beautiful - the interior is a glassed in room with plenty of comfortable seating. We had about 30 passengers and did not feel crowded at all. Half of the passenger were in groups, the rest couples, and you were free to mingle or find a quiet corner. We intend to bring friends and go again!

Great, more upscale alternative to Circle Line

Very well organized operation. Boarded and departed right on time. Nice boat, plenty of outdoor area for good weather, and comfortable indoor area for less nice weather. Standard downtown loop, starting at Chelsea Piers, continuing down to Ellis Island, Statue of Liberty, then over to all four of Eliason's waterfalls, and back to Chelsea Piers. 1.5 hours is just the right amount of time for this sort of thing. No narrative -- good for locals as there is no annoying background noise, but those less familiar with what they are looking at might be somewhat at a loss. Also, note that the free first drink is for beer, wine, champagne or soft drinks only. Mixed drinks will cost you $6.00.

will keep coming back, but in the evening

Everyone on your crew was wonderful and friendly. There had been a slight delay, but it was handled gracefully (we were guaranteed the full time and then given a $10 coupon), so we didn't mind. Our group had a lovely and relaxing time. We only wished that the beverage menu included wine and champagne, as it does during the evening cruises. This is my third time taking friends and family on the Adirondack, but the first time on the afternoon sail. I will definitely continue to enjoy sails on the boat, but I prefer the evening sails when there is a full beverage menu (and there also seems to be less traffic near the pier!).

Couldn't have had a better time.

Three of us found the few hours spent as a memorable experience even for jaded New Yorkers. We concede that it couldn't have been a better day weather wise. The river was busy with many ships and boats of all sizes and it was a pleasure being the quiet boat pushed by the wind and quided my a friendly and knowledgeable captain & 2 crew. They were attentive to everybody's beverage needs although our group was easy on them.

Our captain was an enthusiastic, & fun gentleman who had great concern for the safety of everyone on board his sailboat. Our group throughly enjoyed our 2 hr sailing experience & we will probably go again the next time we come to N.Y.
