I had intended to propose to my fiance on this trip, however on the day of sailing, the cruise was cancelled at 12noon - left high and dry.

Really enjoyed it despite the foggy weather
Mon, Jan 1, 07   12:00 PM sharamd Female 20-29 Local Couple on a Date
I gave this outing to my boyfriend as a Christmas gift. It was a very foggy, rainy day, but we still really enjoyed the experience. We did not get to see spectacular sunny views, but we did get a lot of really interesting pics of the city in the fog. We live in Upper Manhattan and enjoyed the tour up and around northern Manhattan. We were expecting a light continental breakfast, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. There was an array of bagels and fresh fruit plus hot foods like quiche and waffles. The coffee was even good! The staff was great - friendly and helpful. The skipper did a great job, despite the added stress of all the fog and rain. The boat is beautiful - the interior is a glassed in room with plenty of comfortable seating. We had about 30 passengers and did not feel crowded at all. Half of the passenger were in groups, the rest couples, and you were free to mingle or find a quiet corner. We intend to bring friends and go again!

ROMANTIC!

This is a phenomenal cruise to bring the special woman in your life on a special occasion. Maybe even your parents that are visiting and want a nice tour of the city. The food is great and the crew is awesome. When I went, some guy sitting next to me proposed to his girlfriend right infront of the statue of liberty. Its a great 3 hours well spent at the cost.

Wow...they helped make a dream come true!

I wanted to find the best and most romantic way to ask my girlfriend to marry me...and this was it! The staff was so helpful even before I ever stepped on the yacht or even met them. I called ahead and they immediately gave me suggestions and advice on how to go about asking her on the cruise. Once there they helped put me at ease and keep my surprise before I asked her. Everything went off without a hitch and besides the wonderful crew the cruise was a great way to see a city I grew up just outside off and spent tons of time in since i was a kid. Thanks.

The highlight of my trip.

I had an idea in my head of what to expect out of a sunset yacht cruise around New York. It far surpassed my expectations. The rare viewpoints of the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge to name a few from the water were absolutely amazing. I would absolutely make this a part of every trip I took to New York. The staff were incredibly courteous and informed. The yacht itself was comfortable and kept in pristine condition. If you're even considering taking this cruise, I highly encourage you to do this, if anything. Well worth it.

Terrific Outing!

My daughter came to visit her grandmother and me and wanted to see the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. We took a leap and signed up for your cruise and it was a complete hit. In addition, we made our reservation for Thursday and then got distracted and forgot to go. The captain called and rebooked us for the next day, Friday at no additonal charge. We had great service and great fun. Thank you!! I can't wait to go again.

The way to see New York City
Sat, Apr 14, 07   11:00 AM JudyRaze Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
This was my first trip to New York City. My husband and I had reservations on the sunset cruise (1 1/2 hour cruise), but unfortunately, due to high winds, the trip was cancelled. The reservation desk called me to let me know the cruise had been cancelled and suggested booking on the brunch cruise the next morning. We agreed and took the 3 hour cruise (full island) which included a very well laid out brunch. We were able to book this elegant cruise for no extra charge. It was very intimate and relaxing -- no loud guides telling you to look out the left side for a view of . . . -- no loud music so that you could have quiet conversations with your companion or group. The Manhattan holds approximately 40 passengers, our cruise had 21 passengers -- there was no tripping over each other to see the best view. It was unhurried, with excellent views of everything you could possibly want to see in New York -- the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the U.N. building, the Empire State Building, Yankee Stadium and all of the bridges that New York is so famous for. No tourist trap here. Loved it!!

We both thought the trip was very enjoyable and plan subsequent outings with this team again. Perhaps something a little longer in time, and a bit more intimate>

Wonderful cruise on a beautiful ship.
Sat, Apr 28, 07   3:30 PM jimji9 Male 20-29 Local Couple on a Date
First of all, I bought the tickets for my girlfriend and her parents, so I obviously needed everything to go right! In fact, I had totally screwed up by purchasing tickets for the week after we were supposed to go, not paying attention to the dates that were in the box on the ticket sales webpage. The business was able to change my tickets hassle free on the day of the cruise (though since the schooner wasn't sailing that day, I was switched to the Manhattan yacht -- which was great as well!). As we were sailing the rivers, I felt sorry for the people on the other ships that we passed by -- and I felt lucky I did not reserve with them! Our ship was very small by comparison, which was a huge advantage. But our cruise only had about 15 people on the 45 max. capacity ship, so we may have been luckier than most. The 1 1/2 hour cruise was the perfect amount of time and we were blessed with great weather. I don't know how much extra we paid to be on a "better" ship, but it was worth it for the type of occasion I was on.

We went on the first sail of the season - and the boat was very busy - but our group of 7 still managed to all sit together and enjoy the peaceful and powerful experience of sailing without motors.Make sure you wear enough warm clothes ,the temperature really drops when the sun goes down !
