Nice and friendly - but were looking for more

| We had a very good time. We purchased red wine from the bar that was nice and not at all expensive. There were not too many people so we had plenty of room to move around so we could switch looking at different shores. Watching the sails go up and down and making turn was also fun and education. It was my first time on a sailboat so I really admired the quiet gliding comparing to noisy motor boats. The captain and the crew of the "Imagine" there funny and friendly. My 8-year old nephew had been entrusted with the steering wheel and he had a time of his life navigating to Statue of Liberty on his own. The reason I am not giving this tour 5 stars (I would give 4.5 if there was such an option), becase probably my own fault- i had more expectations from reading other people's reviews. As I rarely come to New York, I was expecting more lively guidance from crew members, pointing out places of interest with maybe a little history about each of them. Perhaps, if we would have asked, we would have gotten the answers, but looks like it isn't included in a regular plan - just a pleasant, quiet time on the water with nice views around, so we had our own conversation while the crew discussed their own business. I also wished that our journey itself was a little more interesting perhaps, by going all the way around the south end of Manhattan - but we were on time leaving the pier and coming back so this is just wishful thinking on my part. I suppose one of those days I will go on all-around-Manhattan trip. Bottom line: for those who do not own their own yacht but would like to try the experience of riding in one, or would like to have a quiet romantic time enyoing the views and the fresh air - this trip is perfect (maybe different when it is all booked to capacity and you feel like sardines in the can) . I would not recommend it to those who are eager for more action and hungry for info. | ||||||

| My family and I really enjoyed our 2-hour tour. The Captain was entertaining with his bad jokes and his crew was very attentive. We felt safe and enjoyed our ride. I would recommend it; it was a nice change of pace. Thanks! | ||||||

| The weather was perfect- sunny skies, a great breeze, and the Manhattan skyline in view. Sailing on the Imagine was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday. The captain and crew were very friendly, fun, knowledgeable and good sailors. Very relaxing and enjoyable- I loved being out on the water!!! | ||||||

| New York is busy, busy, busy and this is a WONDERFUL thing to do after a long busy day. We took the city lights cruise. I would suggest if you have younger children to do the earlier cruise. My 10 year old fell asleep toward the end, which was VERY explainable beings we walked and walked all day long. The cruise was from 9:30 to 11:30, so she fell asleep about 10:45ish (DUH!, WHAT'D YA THINK WAS GONNA HAPPEN). It is also a nice place to be if you are a social butterfly. You will meet fun and energetic people. We had a Bachelorette Party on our cruise -- what a GREAT idea!! That would be a GREAT way to start the evening! I can't really say too much more other than it was VERY RELAXING! GO FOR IT!! | ||||||

| Our crew with Captain Tom, and Ian and Stew was awesome!! We arrived at the pier and checked in very easily. Since it had rained earlier in the day, our crew wiped down the boat as best as possible so that nobody would get wet. They also raised the sails and lowered them to prevent any drips or spray. They made sure that we were comfortable the entire trip and all 3 were very knowledgable. This trip was for my step father's birthday but I can't wait to go again! We brought crackers, cheese and fruit for the ride but were having such a great time that we hardly touched any of it. On the ride, you obviously see both the city and the sunset, but here's a tip for the ride: If you want to see the actual sunset without any obstruction (and constant sun), get a seat on the port side (left side when seated forward). If you want the spectacular bridge and city views, get a seat on the starboard side (right side when seated forward). If you want both, ride in the cockpit. It was spectacular and highly recommend it! | ||||||

| It was a lovely way to see NY harbor and to experience a sailing on the water in a craft that lies low to the water. Felt comfortable and relaxed. Some people looked a little crowded in some forward parts of the sailboat. We had ideal seats at the stern. | ||||||

| We're local and we decided on this cruise as a family activity, a way for my small family to spend time together (5 adults one infant). Nice looking, spacious interior, good brunch including bar, you can relax inside or outside (which is what most ppl did). There were other families and couples on a date. I'd do this again and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves being on the water. | ||||||

The Brunch Cruise is very nice

| The brunch cruise was a really fun time. The boat was very new, the food was really good. The only comment I would say is that the price is quite high. $85 per person so with a date, it would be $170. I paid $148 because of a discount code, but still, it is quite expensive. | ||||||

| I'd arranged to take a friend for her birthday on this brunch cruise but she had an emergency and was unable to attend. I attended alone and couldn't have had a nicer time. I'm a diehard New Yorker and know the history of the City pretty well. The tour guide was a charming retired police officer who provided basic information about New York. His best information came from his knowledge of New York's water ways. It's was a lovely experience. It is a bit pricey if cost is your concern; a less expensive alternative would be a non-food cruise or the Circle Line. The food served was tasty and plentiful. There are 4 courses so don't fill up when you first arrive on the yacht. This, for me, will become one of my annual summer excursions. | ||||||
