sunset trip is awesome to see city at night and day

I needed something relaxing to end my weekend and prepare for a hectic week ahead...and the 8:30pm Sunday night Schooner Adirondack sail was just what I needed! The boat wasn't too crowded, so there was plenty of room to walk around, lay down and look up at the stars, or just gaze off at the gorgeous NYC skyline. The captain even let me take a hand at the wheel for a while as we sailed out to the Statue of Liberty. Thanks a ton to the captain and the crew - you guys were as great as the boat itself!

really enjoyed our spontaneous decision to take the cruise - tho had read numerous favourable reviews previously - got really close to the great lady which was fabulous!

The schooner tour itself was amazing. Being on a sailboat, cruising around the New York Harbour, and being able to relax was the best thing about this tour. The employees were very friendly and basically tended to all your needs. I would recommend taking the tour. Provided great exposure of New York and wonderful pictures for your photo albums.

The trip was really nice. I'm a local so I've seen all the sites many times before but it was a different experience to see them from a sail boat. We were lucky to have really good weather which made the sail even better. The crew was very attentive and polite. The only negative thing I would say is that they kind of sail around in a circle for 2 hours. You keep seeing the same things. I wish they would have sailed a little futher to other sites, But overall it was a great day out o the water!

We took the Manhattan brunch cruise with our family (12 people total) for our father's 60th Birthday. The food was exceptional, the staff friendly and helpful and the sights were amazing! The boat was very well kept and the tour felt exclusive, with a small group of people - yet you saw all the important sites that the big tourist cruises feature. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in celebrating a special occassion (or who just want a nice time in Manhattan!)

My date and I had a great time on the Adirondack. The crew was great and did a lovely job of keeping us supplied with drinks. It was a relaxing sail even with 40 other people on the boat. Sitting at the front of the boat is the way to go...sit in the very front. Would do it again!

What a wonderful experience! I've lived in NYC, visited NYC, and have experienced NYC to it's fullest but I have to say that sailing at night along the Hudson was truly one of the most incredible adventures I've experienced in the city that never sleeps! It was romantic, even though I was on board with a large group of friends. It was relaxing and incredibly surreal to see the city lights and not hear a peep from one of the busiest cities in the world...I'll definitely go again... Warmest regards, Sarah

relaxing excursion, the staff are very friendly and nice. They dont bother you. Scenes are great. You get about 2-3 drinks which makes for a nice night.

My boyfriend and I had the best afternoon cruise this weekend! what a perfect date. We called it our mini vacation. The crew was delightful, especially the young man who had attended the marine/sailing highschool ( cant remember his name!). I have already recommended this to all my friends!

Crew was profesional and helpful. Thorougly enjoyed our sunset sail. Took friends visiting from France who almost wept when we sailed in front of Lady Liberty.

Perfect way to end the week --- Friday night sail out in the harbor! Cares truly disappear, even if they return again on Monday.

What was most troublesome to me, the captain spoke of in the very beginning......the tipping of the boat. I was nervous. Not after his talk. The crew was courteous and helpful. They were delightful...all three. They answered every question, but most people were pretty familiar with the city. They were very safety conscious. If I had any complaint, it was the the trip was too short!!! Seriously, I will do it again. It was a wonderful, wonderful experience. I've already written a review on Yelp....I want everyone to come because I want to know that this Schooner is always there. I've already suggested to friends that this makes a wonderful gift...which is how I got to go in the first place.

I took the sunset cruise and it was a perfect way to spend a warm evening. The captain and crew were very nice, and I appreciated the complimentary refreshments. While $50 may seem expensive, it is actually deal considering it is nightlife and you get a couple free drinks on the ship. Touring NY Harbor in a sailboat is definitely much more fun and interesting than the countless motorboats, some too big to even feel like you're on the water. This made for a very classy date, and there is also a valet or car pickup/dropoff circle right at the entrance to the pier, which is perfect for fancy car or limo service. I would recommend this activity strongly.
