Beautiful Activity, Great Bargain

| This is the third time I've gone out on the Adirondack. The crew is friendly and knowledgeable and the sail itself is so much fun. It's a great activity to take out-of-town guests on or someone who you want to impress with something new and exciting. The boat always leaves on time and gives you amazing and unique views of both the New York and New Jersey sides of the Hudson. The most breathtaking part of the sail is floating right underneath the Statue of Liberty. She is so beautiful from the river. There is no other view like this one. They provide the drinks but bring a picnic lunch and it's 2 hours of relaxation and unique perspective. The one piece of advice that I would give future travelers, which has nothing to do with the service provided by the sail company, is to be prepared if you get motion sick. On my first two sails, I had absolutely no problem. But on my last sail, the choppiness of the river and the wake from other boats made us a little queasy. Prepare in advance with some Dramamine and you won't regret it. Also, on our most recent trip, it was a glorious sunny day in the 80's. I, of course, forgot sun block and we felt it later that night on our burned noses, foreheads and necks. Again this has nothing to do with the sail company and just more to do with common sense on our part. A little prep in advance and it's a guarantee that you will have an amazing time. | ||||||

| I took the brunch cruise on my 30th birthday with my parents, grandma, and aunt--who were all visiting from out of town--and we all had an incredible time. The food was delicious, the crew was helpful and fun, and the view was utterly unlike any other experience of the city. I honestly could not recommend this cruise more highly. many thanks! | ||||||

| At first I thought it was too expensive, but it was worth every dollar that I spent. I did not think I would have had so much fun, but it was very informative. The food was excellent, the staff was great. Even my 14 month old had fun. I am planning on doing it again before the summer is over. I would recommend it to any age group, it's one of those event where you can take your baby and your grand parents at the same time. | ||||||

| whether you're a tourist or a local, like myself, it was well worth every penny! i surprised my bf for his bday and it was like nothing we've ever done! he would have never guessed either! the food was delicious! i went crazy on the belgium waffles so i was too stuffed to eat any of the kishe and other goodies. one thing i would suggest is that you sit closer to the tables so that you dont have to wait in line... not that the lines were ever too long, but for impatient ppl like myself, who waited until there were no lines then got no lox :( for the money, i was rather impressed. the yacht felt like someone's private boat, it was so homey and comfy! and it literally sailed around the whole island! being on the water for those few hrs were very stress relieving to say the least~ i'll def be on another one of these very soon! oo another tip.. get there early so you get first dibs on your seat inside the yacht! | ||||||

| Our ride on the Schooner Adirondack was spectacular. The moment we arrived at Chelsea piers by the dock I was speechless. Because it was the city lights cruise by the time we got there the sun was setting and that set the tone for the rest of our ride. The views from the river were breathtaking: the Jersey Shore, the West side of Manhattan and the Statue of liberty. Of course the crew was also very accomodating. We loved it and it is something that we will most certainly do again and recommend to anyone. | ||||||

| This was a date that we as locals from Chelsea wanted to go on for a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed the views of Hoboken and Downtown NY and it was great to not have to deal with the noise of an engine. The crew was great and they took good care of us keeping our glasses topped off when we asked them to. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing way to check out the city. | ||||||

| I wanted to give my friend's daughter, who is a young adult, a view of the NYC harbor on her very first trip to the Big Apple. As it turned out, she experienced two firsts; an incredible view of the harbor and her first ride in a sail boat. She was blown away by both experiences. We had a relatively small number of people on our beautiful schooner and as we passed other boats that were just loaded with tourists, we felt very special. The two hours that we spent at sea felt like just the right amount of time. We passed very close to the Statue of Liberty and other attractions and got some great pictures. Captain Tom and his crew did an excellent job. We never missed the canned tourist dialog and Captain Tom was always there with answers to any questions that we might have had. Even if you have done the big boats, you have to do this sail. I highly recommend it. | ||||||

| Even for someone who see's the view everyday its still amazing. Such a relaxed evening, really enjoyable and would recommend it to anyone. Your glass won't be empty and you don't feel like there is anyone else on the boat, very peaceful. | ||||||

| My wife and I were in NYC to celebrate our 10 Anniversary! This was our first evening in the city after arriving from Tampa, and we could not have begun our trip better. The boat was beautiful, the weather perfect, and Captain Tom and crew were fantastic. This is certainly one of the most enjoyable trips we have ever taken, and the Adirondack specifically will be a fond memory for quite some time! I would highly recommend this trip!!! ***** | ||||||
