A First Class Trip
Wed, Apr 9  6:00 PM PIPPABYRNE Female 40-49 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
We booked this evening cruise on the recommendation of a local person. Every aspect was absolutely worth it. The boat was beautiful. The trip was exactly what we wanted. Very easy to book and pay online. A great view from both inside the boat and on deck. The Captain gave a good well informed commentary. All safety aspects seemed good. Drinks available and good service on board. We felt the trip represented very good value for money. Thanks for a memorable cruise.

Outstanding evening adventure in NYC!

Intimate setting on a very nicely maintained yacht! Left the dock on time and was on the move right away...there is a bar with high quality wine and beer...the staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. I pre-booked a bottle of NY state wine which was wonderful @ ~$32. If you pre-book, you get to choose from one of three NY state wines once on board. You get one complimentary drink on the trip, so champagne is the first round and then open your bottle of wine :) Here is a great idea: before you get on the boat...hit up the Chelsey Market and get some nice cheeses, honey, fruit and bread...once you're situated on the boat, you can spread out your picnic to snack while you drink your wine. During the cruise, you can get up and walk around...our day was a bit chilly (early april), so we mostly stayed inside the glassed in section but you can easily walk out onto the bow for close up photos of the statue of liberty or the brooklyn bridge. Overall, i think it was the best water tour of NYC we ever did...and we did them all...it was worth the $55/pp for the 1.5h trip....they're pretty good about staying on time, so you can plan your dinner reservation with that in mind.

Extremely satisfied with the beautiful views and great customer service. Would definitely recommend and consider taking one of the other Classic Harbor Line cruises.

It was a great leisurely experience

The river cruise was entertaining, the food was good, relaxing and scenic. There was enough narration but not too much. It was a little too long for us. 2 hours would be more than enough.

Best activity of our week stay in NYC.

It was cold and windy but that didn't dampen the tour. Both architects were knowledgeable and good natured. Views were amazing. Wine and snacks much better than expected.

Foggy Windows
Sun, Mar 30  6:00 PM jennamerz521 Female 20-29 Local Family Without Children
Loved the boat and the staff were great. My only complaint was that the windows inside the cabin were foggy due to the bad weather/rain. Not sure there is any way to fix this problem, but it made it difficult/impossible to see the view without using our scarves/gloves to defog the windows.

BEST WAY to see NewYork Harbor & Statue of Liberty
Fri, Mar 28  6:00 PM kramer37 Male 40-49 Local Couple on a Date
I have been on all the tourist boats offering similar routes. This offer is clearly the best for a couple or older group. The price is right. The boat is extremely comfortable and the crew could not do anything more to make us happier. I did take the cruise on the off season and the boat was not crowded so I cant be sure how the crew is during a capacity cruise. What I can attest to is the ship went out of its way to avoid choppy water and travelled further up river than any other tour boat in its class to give us a good look at the mid town skyline. This cruise is so romantic an English tourist proposed to his girlfriend in front of the Statue of Liberty. I do not know if they allow children on this cruise, If you intend to take the Sunset cruise and you have someone under 12 please make sure the child is extremely quiet out of respect of the other passengers. I imagine children are welcome during this boat's daytime cruise in which this again is the best boat to take on the Lower Manhattan cruise. I can only suggest the crew play some romantic music during the cruise since I dont recall hearing any. The sunset cruise can be part of a perfect night for you and your date . Parking at Chelsea Piers is a little cheaper than the other lots in the area. Take the sunset cruise then head over a few blocks to find the perfect resturant offering the cuisine you love best. Happy Sailing!

Beautiful, but not overly engaging
Fri, Mar 28  1:45 PM Aelene11 Female 20-29 International Tourist(s) Individual
The AIANY Around Manhattan Architecture Tour was a great way to see the sites in a comfortable and affordable manner - the boat itself was very comfortable and the audio was adjusted so that the passengers could easily hear the commentary. The guide, however, was not particularly engaging - he was friendly and all but the content was quite dry and I just thought he could have made the talk a little more interesting. A friend of mine took this tour just a couple of weeks prior though and got a brilliant guide, so I guess it's just the luck of the draw of who you get on the day.

Striking Views; Facsinating Commentary
Fri, Mar 28  1:45 PM Cath2627 Female 40-49 Local Family With Children
This boat trip around Manhattan is first class even for a local. It was particularly interesting to learn about the northern part of Manhattan that is rarely on our radar. I went with my teenage son who also found it informative and engaging. However, I would not recommend this trip for families with younger children. The wine and cheeses were delicious! Thanks for a great experience

Fabulous way to spend an afternoon!!
Fri, Mar 28  1:45 PM brendajb Unspecified Unspecified International Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We spent an overcast/rainy afternoon, cosily and comfortably seated in beautiful classic boat (cabin was glassed in), circumnavigating Manhattan. We took the architectural cruise which just added to the whole experience: the member of the architectural society who spoke about the buildings and bridges we were seeing through our cruise was knowledgeable and engaging. I have no hesitation in recommending this cruise as a glorious way to spend an afternoon!

The tour was incredibly informative, well organized and classy. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who would like an overview of how NYC developed and where it is going. Luciano, architect.
