Classic Harbor Line

The captain and his staff are very friendly and informative. It is a lot of fun and exciting to see how they manuver the sails and serve drinks without spilling a drop. The view of New York and the calm of a sail boat is something everyone should experience.

I took my boyfriend on a trip on a sunset sail and it was one of the best things I've done since moving to New York. You'll get an unmatched view of the city and how it's laid out, the skyline, and the Statue of LIberty. If you're not in love with New York, you will be by the end of this sail. The crew was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, competent and fun, and just the perfect balance so you felt safe, but not like you were on a schmaltzy double-decker tourist bus. This is a great outing for a date, or for a group of visiting family or friends. It's really an unbelievable bargain. It would actually also be a great idea for a work outing. Way cheaper than a ballgame. They serve wine and beer. I'd recommend bringing something to snack on, sandwiches, etc. I definitely plan on doing this again.

The boat was very comfortable with inside and outdoor seating. The snacks were excellent. The guides, all architects, provided much information in an enthusiastic manner. My son, an architecture major at Cornell, was impressed by the thoroughness of the tour. Being on the boat gave us a different perspective of city's skyline as we could really appreciate the sheer amount and massiveness of so many buildings. We loved getting so close to the Stature of Liberty, and enjoyed seeing the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building from different vantage points on the water. WE loved seeing the newer buildings on the waterfront by the "starchitects." We learned a lot, and would definitely recommend this tour to both architecture-buffs and those interested in learning about New YOrk City. We found the brochure detailing all the sights, including pictures, extremely helpful.

They provided hot chocolate and coffee as well as cookies! The glassed in seating was wonderful and warm! The crew was very nice and the drinks were great!

The moonlight cruise is a unique experience. Of course it depends on a clear sky, which we had. There was not as much wind to allow sailing as the captain would have liked but who cares. The crew was great. The beverages kept flowing and they were attentive to our comfort. The view of the Statue of Liberty at night was worth the whole trip. Definitely something to do on a trip to NYC.

Sunset cruise was excellent - especially with the bonus of a full moon and clear, sunny skies. Captain and staff were very professional and provided excellent service. Will definitely do again when out of town guests are in town!

We had a great time. Taking the sunset sail allowed us to see the harbor in the daylight, and also at night. The full moon provided for a beautiful backdrop. Loved it!

What a wonderful way to see Manhattan from a unique perspective under sail on a beautifully maintained vessel without the din of an engine. The captain and crew are gracious and take pride in their mastery of this ancient skill.

Very nice trip, well run, with free drinks and blankets as needed. Early in the morning we saw wind predictions of 20 to 30 mph and then bought the tickets, which made for an exciting ride in the afternoon, although the schooner was only able to put up half its sails because the wind was so strong. (The captain is not allowed to "keel" maximally because some passengers may have bought tickets for relaxation rather than drama.) Highly recommended for a two-hour getaway.

The crew was great, the view was great, an excellent way to see the sunset and skyline of our city!!
