Great tour, on a beautiful day, but

Tour is great, get there early! If you're late, they don't wait. One complaint, after the hefty $50+ per person price tag, they ask for more money at the end (tips.). It's practically mandatory, as they place the tip bucket right at the exit of the boat. Don't think it was a very nice way to leave an impression. If you want tips, then maybe think about lowering the price tag for the ticket? Other than that, a lovely way to enjoy nice weather and the Hudson and east rivers.

Very friendly crew. A nice little boat. We felt as being in family. Congratulations for the cook, and also for the captain. He knows a lot about architecture, history, and give us a very detailed explication about all. We had a wonderful morning and we have recomended already this tour to other people.

I've seen Manhattan from the water a number of times, but I still learned a lot from our informative guide. The boat is extremely comfortable, and the wine and snacks were a nice added attraction.

Four of us who love NYC and have visited numerous times, all loved the tour. We were concerned about the weather before we saw the boat. The accommodations were comfortable indoor & outdoor with large windows so everyone could see easily. The guides were very knowledgeable and dynamic. We hope that you will consider an architectural tour #2 for people who have taken the first one and want more! It was a wonderful overview; now we'd like to learn more about a select few sites.

Rate this as a highly recommended trip. Wouldn't hesittate to go again. The condition of the boat was high quality, as was the food, it's presentation, varitety, availability and the service and attention given by the very able and professional crew was outstanding.

A wonderful afternoon's adventure on the water. Informative with regard to both well known and little known details of the NYC cityscape and waterways. Staff was pleasant and efficient. The Manhattan provided a comfortable ride and relaxing setting.

Not what I expected

A group of friends were out celebrating a birthday recently on the Adirondack evening cruise. It was a cold October evening, but the crew happily supplied blankets, and we were well bundled as well, so we were prepared for a nice evening out with friends. Although it started out calmly, once the sails went up, the boat took an alarming tilt to one side that had all of us on that side holding on for dear life. We sped along at this angle for what seemed like an eternity. Eventually it tilted the other way, and we were happy to be on top, but when it came back to our side we basically all ended up sitting on the floor to keep from being pitched into the Hudson. Perhaps it was a particularly windy evening, but this was not how I anticipated this evening. It wasn't raining or bad weather, just cold and crisp, so I was very surprised at the way things turned out. I've never sailed before, so maybe this is typical (?), but most of the pictures on the website show smooth sailing and sitting, chatting and drinking. There is one picture where the boat has the look of a 90 degree angle. That would basically be almost our whole cruise!

Must Do!

Without a doubt, one of the best--most fun, most beautiful, most informative (and tastiest)--experiences I've had since moving to Manhattan many years ago. Seriously. Our lecturer was fabulously knowledgeable and articulate about the several hundred buildings, monuments, parks etc. by an almost equal number of designers in a plethora of styles and materials, from the earliest days of the city right up to the current--and very exciting--rejuvenation of the waterfronts.

Bear Mountain: A day in America

A great way to learn about the native indians, war of independence and the natural history of America at Bear Mountain. The trip is a relaxing contrast to NYC and you are well looked after as a small group travelling along the Hudson river.
