It was cold but magical!
Thu, Oct 29  6:00 PM chrisrice Male 40-49 International Tourist(s) Family With Children
My family enjoyed a wonderful and unusual trip around the skyline of Manhattan on the Adirondack. The temperature for the 6pm sailing was cold in late October, but we were well rapped up and provided with blankets and a couple of drinks so that kept us warm. The kids really enjpyed the trip and I can definitely recommend it to families. Be careful, it leaves from Pier 62 on Chelsea Piers, the only Pier not signposted. We nearly missed our sailing as we couldn't find it. The Pier is the northermost one, before you get to Pier 61.

Miserable Trip

Sail boat went out in windy 50 degree weather with rain calleed for. It was very cold (my wife had 3 blankets) and started raining very hard . The crew, who was very good, passed out rain parkas. Needless to say we were very cold and wet when we landed at the appointed time. There was no place to get out of the rain other than where they were storing blankets and rain parkas. The boat did not come back early because of the weather. It was a miserable trip and should have been called off due to the weather.

magic time
Wed, Oct 14  6:00 PM bymikepearl Male 70+ Local Couple on a Date
the most wonderful moment was when engine was turned off and the only sounds you could hear was the wind in the sails and the water lapping. seeing manhattan lit up like a picture post card was thrilling- it was a cold outing but the rum in hot cider kept us warm. we're going to do it again in the spring.

Beautiful Night

This was a terrific outing. The weather could not have been better, a little chilly but the staff quickly provided plenty of blankets! The sunset behind the statue of liberty was inspiring. The boat was beautiful and the crew friendly, helpful, and eager to answer any questions you might have. Had it not been for a small group of people that were already intoxicated when they arrived on the boat it would have been quite peaceful. I would recommend that if you are looking for a wild party this is not the boat. Great date!

Captain and crew were great!

We sailed on a beautiful 85ft scooner that was well maintained and fun. The Captain (named "Cat") and crew were professional and pleasant and were happy to answer questions about the vessel and the coastline. I was very impressed with the Captain's attention to safety and proper sailing instructions. If you listen carefully, you can really learn about sailing! Great time....

Fun way to begin our party
Sat, Oct 10  6:00 PM thebofis Male 20-29 Local Group of Friends
I went on this sail for my friend's bachelor party, we were served 2-3 rounds of drinks and most people, not having eaten first, were drunk enough from those that the freezing cold wind that night did not bother us as much as if we were sober. The crew was friendly enough and we had very nice views of downtown and the Statue of Liberty. Sail did not take us around the island or up the east river, just down to Statue of Liberty and back up.
