Sunset Sail aboard the Schooners Adirondack

My wife and I had a wonderful experience! The crew turned off the motors fifteen minutes after we left the dock and then we sailed to the Statue of Liberty and back. The crew was very nice and served us a few rounds of drinks. Tips are given at the end of the sail, I made the mistake of tipping the crew in the middle and when we were disembarking the boat the captain seemed a bit sacarstic because he thought we were stiffing the crew! The two hour sail was a perfect amount of time!

It was a delightful trip, just long enough, offering a new perspective on the City and the river. The crew was more than competent and very courteous. The light, clouds and colors were wonderful.

I've taken a boat tour before and this is much, much better. From a price standpoint it's more, but they serve you drinks so it really isn't that different. It's also a lot more intimate, and every view is nice. I took my gf for her birthday, she loved it, and I made a picnic out of it by bringing snacks. If you've never done this before, you should.

I booked this sunset cruise on the recommendation of a friend and was completely impressed. From the friendliness of the crew to the beverage service and information provided, it was top drawer. I have already recommended it to several friends visiting NYC soon. The views for pictures of the Statue of Liberty are the best I've found. Not too crowded or touristy....just a nice mix of locals, tourists and folks ready to be mellow and sail. I'll be back!

I would definitely recommend the sunset sail (or any sail) on the Schooner Adirondack or Imagine. The crew was extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we wanted to make the experience as pleasant as possible. The views were amazing, of course. I definitely suggest taking a significant other to this. I definitely plan on going on the sunset sail in the future again.

Great crew, very professional. The service was wonderful as well! The boat could have been a little less crowded, but other than that we had an amazing time. Definitely something we will do again!

The crew was friendly and ship was very nice. The 2 hour tour provides ample opportunity to contemplate the wonder of the New York harbor and the gorgeous skyline. And have a relaxing drink or two. The cruise attracts a variety of people - couples, groups of tourists, and families, so its not super romantic, but it would be a great activity to start off an evening. You can even bring your own picnic on board by stopping by the Chelsea Market beforehand.

i thought it was a little crowded. i still enjoyed it but it definitely seemed crowded with too many people. kind of takes away from the "special" factor when you are crowded up to a stranger. and the weather was a bummer. but the crew was great and very nice. we would probably do this again with the hopes that it would not be as busy next time.
