This is our fourth trip on The Adirondack, and each sail is a delight. The schooner is excellent and the crew knowledgeable and helpful. We plan to sail at least once a month.

Spectacular Sunset Cruise

My husband and I were very fortunate to be taking this cruise on a very warm evening in June. There was a breeze so we were very comfortable out on the water and enjoyed the beautiful sunset behind the Statue of Liberty and the high rises to the west of the Hudson River. The crew were very helpful and friendly, and we enjoyed watching them as they put up the sails and sailed the boat down and back up the river.( It is a BEAUTIFUL boat, by the way.) They were very solicitous of the guests as they served wine and beer. As we left we were told how lucky we were to have such beautiful weather. A real highlight of our trip to New York City.

what a wonderful way to spend a summer evening. It was my husbands birthday and we had a great time met a darling couple of newlyweds and just enjoyed the water, wind, and skyline. The crew was accommodating and made sure our needs were met as well as competent sailors. I would do it again in a flash.

A wonderful way to start an evening out

I particularyly enjoyed the enthusiasm of the crew. On a hot night, going out onto the water was so refreshing and it's always great to get up close to the Statue of Liberty. One minor suggestion--some napkins to go with the drinks.

Amazing...

Perfect weather...just a little nippy but onboard blankets were great. Perfect sail....motored and sailed with a little listing for fun! Drinks were good and served with grace.. Wasn't crowded....we sat on the deck instead of the cockpit... One of the more romantic things I've done...and I've done gondolas in Venice & dinner in Paris & night walks in Prague & beach strolls on Copacabana... But mostly...SHE liked it!

My husband and son and I visited NYC for Memorial Day weekend. This sailing experience was one of the highlights of our trip. Captain Kat and her crew were great. When she turned off the engines and we sailed down the Hudson to the Statue of Liberty it was wonderful and peaceful. The two hours went by so fast and we hated to see the excursion end. Would absolutely recommend this trip to everyone.

Miserable Trip

Sail boat went out in windy 50 degree weather with rain calleed for. It was very cold (my wife had 3 blankets) and started raining very hard . The crew, who was very good, passed out rain parkas. Needless to say we were very cold and wet when we landed at the appointed time. There was no place to get out of the rain other than where they were storing blankets and rain parkas. The boat did not come back early because of the weather. It was a miserable trip and should have been called off due to the weather.

We really enjoyed it - celebrated our 37th anniversary with two other friends - staff very friendly and accomodating. Weather was cool - but the views were worth it.
